NXP's Global Procurement team is seeking a summer intern to evaluate and enhance current sourcing, contracting, and supplier management processes within facility management and real estate services. The intern will develop a category strategy, create an intuitive stakeholder-facing model, and recommend global FM commodity strategies based on industry best practices, while also providing insights on new technologies and approaches.
Must Have:
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

NXP’s Global Procurement team is looking for a summer intern to evaluate the current sourcing, contracting and supplier management processes within facility management (FM) and Real Estate services at NXP. NXP would like to make recommendations on our commodity strategy and supplier engagement approach based on best practices in the industry.

Internship Projects:

  • Review and develop a category strategy and supplier delivery solutions robust enough to consolidate spend with key & strategic suppliers while keeping the stakeholder interface clear and concise.
  • Develop internal stakeholder facing model allowing our stakeholders intuitive access to the solutions available leveraging AI or other relevant technologies.
  • Make recommendations on the global FM commodity strategy based on best practices in the industry/category for aligning with the supply base based on a spend assessment and category strategy recommendation.
  • Provide insight on other opportunities and recommendations based on experience.

Key Challenges:

  • Utilizing intelligence sources and metrics actionable enough to incorporate into negotiations in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Evaluation and categorization of spend data to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Incorporating new technology and approaches in the business.

Cross functional aspects:

  • The intern will work with Global Facilities, Global Procurement, Finance and IT and other stakeholders as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field.
