Job Description

The Support Engineer (Quality Engineering) is responsible for conducting quality audits on engineering and maintenance activities, performing root cause analysis, and proposing corrective and improvement actions. This role involves coordinating amusement ride examinations in accordance with safety ordinances, preparing necessary reports, and providing routine engineering support for document changes and procurement requirements. The engineer will also participate in the establishment and approval of engineering documents, conduct investigations into component defects or failures, and assist management with project critical deliverables for new amusement rides and entertainment venues. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in Quality Management Systems, Quality Auditing, or project management is required. Experience in mechanical design, welding, measurement instruments, or theatre/stage engineering is beneficial.
Must have:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronic)
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Quality Management System or Auditing
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours and make independent decisions
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Confident communication with multi-national partners
Good to have:
  • Knowledge in project management
  • Preferable experience in mechanical design
  • Preferable experience in welding
  • Preferable experience in measurement instrument
  • Experience in theatre or stage engineering

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Quality Audit on Engineering and Maintenance activities, perform root cause analysis, and propose corrective and improvement actions, compute audit report and report out findings.
  • Coordinate Amusement Ride Examination in accordance to COP on Amusement Ride Safety Ordinance (CAP.449), prepare necessary reports and documents for submission.
  • Provide routine engineering activities support on review and approval on engineering document change; review and proposal of Purchase Order Quality Requirement codes for ride component procurement.
  • Participate in the establishment, review, and approval of Engineering Documents, to ensure the integrity and maintenance of Manufacturer’s requirements; Maintenance Manual, Job Plans, Engineering Instructions, Engineering Drawings, Quality Manual and Policy.
  • Participate in engineering investigation on component defect or failure, from cycle overhaul, park inspection and good receiving. Issue engineering disposition for defective component or engineering issue.
  • Assist manager on the Project critical deliverables development, assessment, and auditing, on the new projects on Amusement Rides and Entertainment venues.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree holder of Engineering in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronic or related.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience, knowledge and experiences in Quality Management System, Quality Auditing or project management.
  • Preferable experience in mechanical design, welding and measurement instrument.
  • Experience in theatre or stage engineering is beneficial.
  • Able to work in non-traditional hours including occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Able to make decision independently. Fluent spoken and written English. Confident in communicating with multi‐national partners.
