Job Description

As a Support Engineering Team Leader, you will join the Support Engineering & Service department of the Client Support and Services (CSS) Directorate. You will lead a team of 8 specialists providing technical support to aeronautical offers and projects. Your role involves managing the team, ensuring performance, coordinating support interfaces, deploying process evolutions, developing subcontracting, and leading progress initiatives. This position requires strong leadership, experience in integrated logistics support, and the ability to drive strategic changes in a dynamic technological environment.
Must have:
  • Hierarchically manage the team
  • Ensure team performance and associated KPIs
  • Coordinate support and interface with CSS offers & projects and/or initial assembly via ILS Managers
  • Support the deployment of evolutions in methods & tool-based processes
  • Develop the structural subcontracting axis and materialize offshoring opportunities
  • Lead and deploy progress initiatives for the business discipline
  • Hold a Bac+5 degree from a general engineering school or equivalent
  • Experience in hierarchical management and transversal coordination of multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and In-Service Support (ISS) professions
  • Knowledge of support engineering professions (Logistics Support Analysis, Documentation, Initial Provisioning List)
  • English proficiency
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of ASD standards, particularly S1000D, S2000M, S3000L, ideally applied to electronic equipment (radars and/or avionics)

Your daily life

On a cutting-edge Bordeaux Campus, between ocean and vineyards, we design and develop systems, equipment, and services to ensure the success of our clients' airborne missions.

As a Support Engineering Team Leader (M/F), you will join the Support Engineering & Service department of the Client Support and Services (CSS) Directorate. This department manages service engineering activities throughout the equipment/system lifecycle, including logistics support analysis, technical user documentation, client training, and reliability, maintainability, and safety studies. In this role, you will lead a team of 8 specialists providing technical support to aeronautical offers and projects (Radars, Military Avionics – Rafale, M2000, drones, etc.). Faced with growing activities and the requirements of new contracts and standards, as well as the integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, you will contribute to adapting skills and processes, supporting this strategic evolution.

Missions:

  • Hierarchically manage the team: business organization, team cohesion, service meetings, employee development, workload/capacity adequacy, capitalization, etc.),
  • Guarantee the team's performance and associated KPIs (Quality/Cost/Deadlines),
  • Coordinate support and interface with CSS offers & projects and/or initial assembly via ILS Managers,
  • Support the deployment of evolutions in methods & tool-based processes,
  • Develop the structural subcontracting axis and materialize offshoring opportunities,
  • Lead and deploy progress initiatives for the business discipline (ASL and Documentation referent roadmap, Unfunded Studies, Product Plan, etc.), ensure their technical and financial monitoring, and associated reporting.

Occasional travel to the Thales Brest site is expected.

  • English.
