SW Engineer III - C++ Developer

NCR Atleos is seeking a SW Engineer III - C++ Developer with 6-10 years of experience to join their team in Hyderabad. This role involves developing high-quality software, diagnosing system failures, implementing process improvements, and conducting unit tests. The engineer will also analyze, design, and implement software mechanisms to enhance code stability and performance, lead code review sessions, and provide technical input for documentation. The position requires strong C/C++/C# and object-oriented programming skills, with a focus on Windows development, within an Agile environment.

Must Have

• Develop high quality software which meets requirements and promotes re-use
• Diagnose, isolate, and implement remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code
• Identify and implement process improvements in Engineering practices
• Conduct unit tests, track problems, and implement changes
• Analyze, design, and implement software mechanisms to improve code stability, performance, and reusability
• Participate and lead code review sessions
• Create high fidelity estimates of own work efforts
• Assist others in estimating task effort and dependencies
• Lead and advise other Engineering resources as part of project activities
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
• Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in software design and development
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in C/C++/C# design/development
• Object Oriented programming
• Windows programming
• Deep understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
• Experience operating in an Agile environment
• Deep understanding of agile development principles
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma Lean principles

Good to Have

• Knowledge of AngularJS, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Java Spring Boot
• Worked in any Software Development Life Cycle model and desirable working in Agile environment
• Knowledge of software development standards and protocols
• Knowledge about ATMs
• Experience with tools utilized in development environment: Jira, Jenkins, Subversion/GIT hub, NUnit

• Participates with industry groups, stays current with technology and industry trends, disseminates knowledge to team members, forms best practices.
• Communicate with Solution Management and other internal teams. Participates in cross-functional collaboration within the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
• A minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in software design and development
• A minimum of 6+ years of experience in preferred technology stack:
• C/C++/C# design/development
• Object Oriented programming
• Windows programming
• Knowledge of AngularJS, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Java Spring Boot will be added advantage
• Deep understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
