Job Description

As a Senior Recruiter for the Japan region, you will lead country-level talent acquisition strategies and programs, managing professional and ramp hiring. You will partner closely with the business to attract top-tier talent in Japan and contribute to Global Talent Acquisition initiatives. This role involves continuously evolving recruitment processes, improving candidate experience, and collaborating with hiring managers to attract exceptional individuals.
Must have:
  • Manage the full life cycle recruitment process, ensuring a seamless experience for Hiring Managers and candidates
  • Design the selection matrix for choosing optimum recruitment channels and sources
  • Explore market best practices in recruitment and staffing and implement them
  • Build quality relationships with internal customers and external agencies, colleges, institutes and associations
  • Monitor and constantly reduce recruitment process costs and provide input for improvement
  • Monitor labor legislation and implement required changes for compliance
  • Manage recruitment of manager to executive level positions, proactively sourcing candidates
  • Utilize strategic talent mapping and advanced sourcing techniques to attract top talent
  • Utilize/leverage/develop relationships with outside vendors, websites, and niche posting sites
  • Participate in global Talent Acquisition initiatives as country/regional representative
  • 7-8 years of Talent Acquisition experience in Japan market
  • Demonstrated high-performing recruiter experience in a corporate setting
  • Proven track record of building positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to design and lead cross-function teams for large-scale Talent Acquisition projects
  • Senior-level recruiting experience and ability to thrive in dynamic environments
  • Passionate in understanding business
  • Passionate in the technology, engineering, or IT industry with strong understanding of Japanese talent market
  • In-depth knowledge of Japanese labor law related to hiring activities
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • Based in Japan, Tokyo and requires full-time office work
  • Highly organized with a strong focus on delivering business results

About the Role:

As a Senior Recruiter for the Japan region, you will have opportunity to take the lead of country level talent acquisition strategies and programs, also be part of the team to manage professional hiring or ramp hiring. You will be able to closely partner with the business to attract and hire top-tier talent in Japan, and also be part of the team driving Global Talent Acquisition organization initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full life cycle recruitment process, ensuring a seamless experience for both Hiring Managers and candidates. (including its description, recruitment measurement definitions, regular measurement reporting, taking proper actions to close gaps)
  • Design the selection matrix for choosing the optimum recruitment channel and recruitment source
  • Explore the market best practices in the recruitment and staffing and implement appropriate best practices in the organization
  • Build quality relationship with the internal customers and external agencies, colleges, institutes and associations
  • Monitor and constantly reduce the costs of the recruitment process and provide input to improve and streamline recruitment processes.
  • Monitors the labor legislation and implements required changes to keep the process compliant
  • Manage the recruitment of manager to executive level positions. Pro-actively sourcing candidates from the internet and the competition to identify candidates for the hard-to-fill positions.
  • Utilize strategic talent mapping and advanced sourcing techniques to identify and attract top talent, aligning with complex business growth objectives.
  • Utilize/leverage/develop relationships with outside vendors, web sites, and niche posting sites.
  • Participate in global Talent Acquisition initiatives as country/regional representative

Ideal Talents:

  • 7~8 years of Talent Acquisition relevant experience in Japan market
  • Demonstrated high-performing recruiter experience in a corporate setting, ideally in a high-growth and fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of building positive relationships with candidates, managers, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to Design and lead cross-function teams to implement big scale of Talent Acquisition projects and drive deliverables.
  • Senior-level recruiting experience and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Passionate in understanding business
  • Passionate in the technology, engineering, or IT industry with a strong understanding of the Japanese talent market.
  • In-depth knowledge of Japanese labor law, particularly in relation to hiring activities.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Proficient user of MS Office, experience with Workday Recruiting or other ATS is a plus.
  • This role is based in Japan, Tokyo and requires full-time office work.
  • Highly organized with a strong focus on delivering business results.
