Job Summary
As a Technical Artist at Donkey Crew, you will be collaborating with art and engineering teams to ensure in-game asset budget and optimization. You'll work on weathers, particles, shaders & lighting in the game. You will also be developing asset creation pipelines and educating the team about best practices, supporting level designers, and providing automation tools. This role requires a passion for creating high-quality and immersive experiences.
Must Have
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist.
- Proficiency in Unreal 5 engine and its tools.
- Knowledge of blueprints or other scripting languages.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Passion for video games and immersive experiences.
- Fine arts fundamentals, understanding color and lighting.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of C++ would be a plus.
- Interests in drawing or photography.

Job Description
Donkey Crew is an indie game developer looking for experienced humans to join our international team of passionate artists and programmers at our studio in the beautiful city of Wroclaw, Poland.
If you are enthusiastic about the prospect of making great PC games and looking to work in an inspiring and growing environment, this is the place for you. Currently we're developing our nomadic, survival MMO "Last Oasis" which was released to Early Access on Steam March 26th, 2020 and is made using Unreal Engine 4.

Technical Artist
Some of what you’ll do:
Collaborating with art and engineering teams on determining and ensuring in-game asset budget and optimization of levels, meshes, materials, lighting, post-processes and vfx
Working on weathers, particles, shaders & lighting in the game
Developing asset creation pipelines
Educating the team about project-specific and general best practices
Supporting level designers by providing automation tools and expanding procedural generation techniques
Ideally you’ll have:
3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the video game industry
Proficiency in Unreal 5 engine and its tools
Knowledge of blueprints or other scripting languages.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Passion for video games and a desire to create high-quality, immersive experiences for players
Fine arts fundamentals, good understanding of color and lighting
Knowledge of C++ would be a plus
Interests in drawing or photography
