Job Description

Electronic Arts is seeking a Technical Designer Intern for a 6-month full-time placement in Stockholm, Sweden, starting January 2026. This hybrid role at DICE Stockholm involves assisting in the implementation and design of systems, contributing to advanced system development, and supporting the team by fixing bugs and implementing scripting tasks for the Battlefield franchise. The intern will work closely with senior Technical Designers, focusing on design processes, internal tools like FrostEd, visual scripting, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Good To Have:
  • A strong interest in design processes, tools, content creation, engine features, and pipelines.
  • Curiosity and dedication to mastering internal tools (e.g., FrostEd), with a willingness to explore new systems and tackle technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with visual scripting languages and some understanding of programming processes (e.g., Blueprints).
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines and acting as a bridge between creative and technical teams.
  • Comfortable working closely with mentors and reporting to both studio and project-level Technical Design Directors.
  • Personal interest in FPS and/or multiplayer games such as COD, Battlefield, CS2, Fortnite etc.
Must Have:
  • Assist in the implementation and design of systems, solutions, or workflows that support and empower other designers.
  • Contribute to the development of advanced systems in collaboration with senior Technical Designers.
  • Support the team by identifying and fixing bugs, implementing smaller scripting or game design tasks, and offering technical feedback during production.
  • Currently enrolled at university or education provider with a planned internship period planned into the education plan.
  • Eligible to work in Stockholm, Sweden, without the need for visa/relocation support.
  • Available to commence a full-time 6 month placement in January 2026.

  • You are eligible to work in Stockholm, Sweden, without the need for visa/relocation support
  • You are available to commence a full-time 6 month placement in January 2026.
