Job Description

A new opportunity for a skilled Technical Planner to join the On-Wing Services (OWS) team in Singapore. This role supports critical engine maintenance activities within the global Rolls-Royce On-Wing Services network. Responsibilities include developing technical work instructions, assessing customer requests, coordinating resources, resolving issues, processing invoices, and monitoring partner performance. The role requires a strong technical background and planning experience in fast-paced environments.
Must have:
  • Develop, produce, and publish technical work instructions.
  • Conduct technical assessments of customer work requests.
  • Complete administrative tasks for work requests.
  • Coordinate with OWS service partners for resources, tools, and materials.
  • Support the resolution of customer issues and concerns.
  • Process customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor the performance of service partners.
  • Agree on the scope of tasks with customers or internal stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits or quality investigations.
  • Continuously improve service delivery by supporting task optimization.
  • Champion key processes/tools or provide specialist technical expertise.
  • Develop, maintain, and report approved performance metrics.
  • Strong technical and/or service operations background.
  • IT proficient, particularly in systems for planning and scheduling tasks.
  • Proven experience in planning activities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated customer-focus and flexibility.
  • Experience working as a Planner in a project-oriented setting.
  • Solid understanding of project controls, including baseline management and change control.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with ability to stay composed amid shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to work permanent night shifts.
Good to have:
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in Aircraft and Engine maintenance planning (shop or line maintenance).
  • Background in civil aviation engine maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Part 145 regulations and related compliance standards.
  • Professional qualification in project planning or project management.
  • Experience in contract administration and invoicing in an aviation environment.

A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Technical Planner to join our On-Wing Services (OWS) team based in Singapore. This is a fantastic chance to play a pivotal role in Civil Aerospace Aftermarket Operations by supporting business-critical engine maintenance activities within the global Rolls-Royce On-Wing Services network.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defense vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop, produce, and publish technical work instructions in line with Airworthiness regulations.
  • Conduct technical assessments of customer work requests.
  • Complete administrative tasks aligned to work request requirements.
  • Coordinate with OWS service partners to ensure availability of resources, tools, and materials.
  • Support the resolution of customer issues and concerns.
  • Process customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor the performance of service partners to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Agree on the scope of tasks with customers or internal stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits or quality investigations.
  • Continuously improve service delivery by supporting task optimization efforts.
  • Champion key processes/tools or provide specialist technical expertise as required.
  • Develop, maintain, and report approved performance metrics.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Strong technical and/or service operations background.
  • IT proficient, particularly in systems used for planning and scheduling tasks.
  • Proven experience in planning activities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated customer-focus and flexibility in addressing changing requirements.
  • Experience working as a Planner in a project-oriented setting.
  • Solid understanding of project controls, including baseline management and change control.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to stay composed and effective amid shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to work permanent night shifts.

Desirable:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in Aircraft and Engine maintenance planning (shop or line maintenance).
  • Background in civil aviation engine maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Part 145 regulations and related compliance standards.
  • Professional qualification in project planning or project management.
  • Experience in contract administration and invoicing in an aviation environment.
