Job Description

As a dedicated leader, you will take on both the technical and disciplinary leadership of a team of software developers in online payroll development. You will be responsible for building and developing your team, identifying talents, and ensuring their continuous growth. You will also be responsible for the products managed by your team, driving technical vision, and making architectural decisions.
Must have:
  • Lead software developers in online payroll development.
  • Identify and support team talents.
  • Recruit new team members with HR.
  • Design onboarding processes for new colleagues.
  • Initiate talent management programs (coaching, performance reviews).
  • Ensure code reviews, unit testing, pair programming, and clean documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership and implement a shared technical vision.
  • Responsible for design, documentation, and implementation of software architectures in payroll.
  • Strong personality, social competence, open and authentic communication (Servant Leadership).
  • Many years of experience in software engineering (Java, JavaScript).
  • Proficiency with frameworks like Spring Boot, Angular, or React.
  • Expertise in software architecture design, documentation, and implementation.
  • Practical experience in coaching, mediation, and moderation.
  • Proficiency in modern work methods like Agile or Lean.
  • Negotiation-level German and English communication skills.
  • At least four years of experience in leading and developing technical developer teams.

Your Mission

As a dedicated leader, you will take on both the technical and disciplinary leadership. The continuous development and growth of your team are just as important to you as the responsibility for the products you manage together with your team.

Your Tasks

  • As a Tech Lead, you will assume technical and disciplinary leadership of the software developers in the Online Payroll Development area.
  • You recognize talents in the team and support each person in getting the best out of themselves. You also bring broad IT knowledge and great interest in current topics and trends.
  • Together with HR and your department head, you will find suitable new team members.
  • You design the onboarding of new colleagues and ensure with standardized processes that they quickly settle in. Additionally, you initiate talent management programs such as coaching and performance reviews.
  • You value code reviews, unit testing, pair programming, and clean documentation and help the team to continuously develop.
  • You take technical leadership, convey a common technical vision, and implement it together with your team.
  • You are responsible for the design, documentation, and implementation of software architectures and make important architectural decisions in the payroll area.

  • You have at least four years of experience in leading and developing technically oriented developer teams.
