Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Innovation team at Marsh McLennan (MMC) in Cluj, Romania. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting the automation test strategy to ensure high-quality software delivery. This hands-on role involves working collaboratively in a Scaled Agile environment, focusing on minimizing bugs, performing root-cause analysis, and preventing reoccurrence. You will ensure accurate business requirements, form a shift-left test automation strategy, and create automated test suites for various scenarios, including AI/Gen AI applications.
Must have:
  • Ensure business requirements for Functional and Non Functional areas are gathered accurately and understood.
  • Form a Test Strategy that includes Shift left Test automation as the key principle.
  • Ensure test coverage for all critical Functional and Non Functional business.
  • Create automated Test suites for Integration, Regression, API, Data validation (back end and front end), and edge scenarios.
  • Test AI/Gen AI business applications, demonstrating usage of Gen AI in tooling & AI driven insights reporting.
  • Identify non-automated test cases to be performed manually.
  • Work closely with a Lead Software Engineer to define code review, Unit test, and acceptance test strategy.
  • Follow good agile practices foundational to product delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Test scripting issues.
  • Log and track defects, provide regular updates, and perform periodic defect trend analysis.
  • Work closely with Software Engineers and User Acceptance team to resolve bug and quality issues.
  • Strong understanding of Test Engineering and Quality Assurance best practices, tools and policies.
  • Experience testing AI/Gen AI business applications.
  • Experience or knowledge of working with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches.
  • Knowledge of API testing.
  • Familiar with Automation Framework Design and Implementation.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Experience of testing software across a variety of languages, technologies, and platforms.
  • Proficient in TypeScript, Playwright.
  • Strong experience working with Mongo, API test automation.
  • Good understanding of working with a source control system such as Github.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Innovation team at Marsh McLennan (MMC). This role will be based in Cluj, Romania.

This hub is central to our digital strategy, addressing emerging challenges and enhancing service delivery through advanced technology solutions that empower our clients and promote sustainable growth.

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and support of the automation test strategy to ensure the delivery of a high-quality software that meets user requirements. This is a hands-on role that requires the candidate to work collaboratively in a squad following a Scaled Agile development methodology. You must be a self-starter, delivery-focused, and possess a broad set of technology skills. Candidate needs to be able to minimize the adverse impact of bugs and should be able to do Root-cause analysis for the business processes and prevent reoccurrence of the bugs.

We will count on you to:

  • Ensure that business requirements for both Functional and Non Functional areas are gathered accurately, understood, and have clear understanding of the Business Acceptance criteria
  • Form a Test Strategy that includes Shift left Test automation as the key principle
  • Ensure test coverage for all critical Functional and Non Functional business

What you need to have:

  • Strong understanding of Test Engineering and Quality Assurance best practices, tools and policies
  • Experience testing AI/Gen AI business applications. Demonstrate usage of Gen AI in tooling & AI driven insights reporting. Creating/Reusing AI utilities/components for Testing.
  • The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering Quality software solutions
  • Experience or knowledge of working with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as Code
  • Knowledge of API testing
  • Familiar with Automation Framework Design and Implementation
  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong Self-starter and active squad contributor
  • Experience of testing software across a variety of languages, technologies, and platforms.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficient in the following Test automation languages and frameworks: TypeScript, Playwright,
  • Strong experience working with Mongo, API test automation
  • Good understanding of working with a source control system such as Github
