Job Description

This role is for a Test Solutions Engineer within Thales's Test Solutions Competence Center (TSI) in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France. The team develops, commissions, and maintains test means for aeronautical and naval radionavigation, radiocommunication, and satellite communication systems. The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing test benches, ensuring they meet technical, cost, and risk requirements, and will participate in development, integration, validation, and qualification activities, as well as post-commissioning investigation and technical fact processing.
Must have:
  • Collaborate on translating needs into technical requirements with business experts.
  • Contribute to the design of test benches and their hardware/software components.
  • Propose technical solutions meeting requirements, costs, and controlled risks.
  • Propose optimizations and improvements to existing test solutions.
  • Participate in development, integration, validation, and qualification of test benches.
  • Conduct investigation and technical fact processing activities for in-service test benches.

Your daily life

Our teams specialize in aeronautical and naval radionavigation, radiocommunication, and satellite communication systems and equipment. At the heart of Corrèze, the site's activity, primarily industrial, covers the entire product life cycle, from the design phase to customer support.

You will join the Test Solutions Competence Center (TSI) team. This team, transversal to SIX industrial sites (Brive, Cholet, Laval), ensures the development, commissioning, and maintenance of the test means necessary for the different product life phases.

More specifically, you will work on test benches for aeronautical radionavigation and radiocommunication equipment.

You will act as a solution engineer responsible for designing and developing test benches to meet our Clients' needs.

Your main missions consist of:

  • collaborate in translating expressed needs into technical requirements in partnership with business experts
  • contribute to the design of test benches and their components (hardware and software). As such, you propose technical solutions meeting technical requirements, costs, and controlled risks
  • Propose optimizations and improvements to existing test solutions
  • depending on your technical aptitudes, you can participate in the development (hardware or software) and/or integration, Validation, and Qualification of test benches
  • conduct investigation and technical fact processing activities once the test benches are put into service.

Your profile

With an Engineer/Bac+5 degree, you have at least 3 years of experience in test & trial engineering or electronic systems.

Do you have strong technical knowledge in the field of electronics and hyperfrequency?

Do you master essential methodologies such as requirements management, technical fact management, and configuration management?

Does working in an integrated multi-environment/discipline team motivate you?
