Principal Technical Designer

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Principal Technical Designer to join an exciting AAA game studio, working on a brand new multiplayer shooter IP, taking themes from the likes of Cowboy Bebop and Akira.

As a Principal Technical Designer, you will be owning, designing, implementing, and balancing features in the game. Being a bridge between design and engineering, bringing the overall game vision to life and making their first title a smash hit!

Responsibilities:

• Bring to life game mechanics and ability sets
• Create specifications, guidelines, and technical requirements for these features
• Rapidly prototype and iterate your designs, take on feedback and produce the best features possible

Essential Skills:

• Over 6 years of experience in technical design
• Experience creating prototypes via programming and scripting (e.g. Lua, Squirrel, C#, Javascript)
• Experience working on networked games
• Passionate about experimenting and risk taking
