Aptiv is seeking a Trade Certification Specialist to ensure continuity in programs like Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), CTPAT, and VAT Certification. The role involves conducting compliance audits and collaborating with other functional areas. Responsibilities include managing the CTPAT website, training business units on CTPAT and AEO requirements, assisting with certification audits, responding to internal/external audits, and collaborating with stakeholders for VAT certification compliance. The specialist will also support any contingencies and perform other related activities as assigned by their supervisor.
Must have:
  • Bachelors degree in Logistics or related
  • Advanced English level
  • +3 years of experience
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Advanced knowledge of AEO, CTPAT, VAT
  • 3 years of experience in SAT areas/auditor
  • IMMEX Customs Processes knowledge
  • Skills to conduct audits

YOUR ROLE

As Trade Certification Specialist on our team, you will: The primary role of this position is to ensure continuity in the programs in which Aptiv participates (Authorized Economic Operator – AEO, CTPAT, and VAT Certification), through collaboration with other functional areas and by conducting compliance audits of said programs and/or certifications.

In your daily job you will:

  • Management of the CTPAT website to monitor new requirements and ensure full compliance.

  • Training business units on CTPAT and AEO requirements to ensure full compliance.

  • Assistance to business units during CTPAT, AEO, or VAT certification audits. d. Response to internal or external audits related to CTPAT, AEO, or VAT certifications.

  • Collaboration with other stakeholders to maintain VAT certification compliance. Support and attention to any contingencies in the area and/or services.

  • Any other work-related activity related to their position, department, and/or as required by their immediate supervisor.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics or related

  • English level advanced

  • +3 years of experience

  • MS Office

  • Advanced knowledge of AEO|CTPAT, VAT, AEO (Certified Operator)

  • 3 years of certification in SAT areas and/or auditor

  • IMMEX Customs Processes

  • Skills to conduct audits (SAT-CBP)
