Job Summary
As a UI Artist, you will collaborate with UX designers to create high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, design systems, and style guides for UI/UX features. You will assist technical designers and UI engineers in transforming designs into rapid prototypes and player UIs. This role involves creating wireframes, bringing them to life visually, and implementing final art in Unreal Editor using UMG, animations, and materials. You will ensure AAA quality UI experiences, contribute to design systems, game menus, HUD elements, and UI animation, and create material effects.
Must Have
- Collaborate with UX Design, Tech UI Design, and Engineering to create AAA quality UI experiences.
- Actively participate in creating and implementing design systems, game menus, HUD elements, iconography, UI materials, shaders, and animation.
- Create new material effects, implement basic project logic, and/or create 2D effects.
- Contribute to timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Collaborate with the UX/UI department to ensure consistency and quality.
- Execute at a high-quality level, work autonomously, and handle complex features and systems.
- Work in Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Figma to create UI concept art.
- Over two years of experience in collaborative UI creation from concept to completion.
- Excellent visual design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Experience with Figma, Adobe Suite, or equivalent software.
- Experience with UI art implementation in Unreal Engine (UMG) or equivalent game engine.
- Experience building UI materials and shaders for game engines or 3D packages/FX tools; motion design and UI animation, preferably for games.

What you'll do
As a UI Artist, you will collaborate with UX designers to design UX/UI features and systems by generating high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, design systems, and style guides. You will help technical designers and UI engineers transform designs into rapid prototypes and player UIs. In this role, you will have the ability to create wireframes and bring them to life, improving the UX with visual resources. You will also implement the final art in Unreal Editor using UMG, animations, materials, etc.

- Create new material effects, implement basic logic in projects, and/or create 2D effects.
- Contribute to the timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Collaborate with the UX/UI department to ensure consistency and quality are maintained in the project.
- Execute at a high-quality level, work autonomously, and handle complex features and systems.
- Work in Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Figma to create UI concept art.
What we are looking for
- More than two years of experience in collaborative work to create UI from concept to completion.
- Excellent visual design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Experience with Figma, Adobe Suite, or other equivalent software.
- A strong work portfolio showing your skills and process.
- Experience with UI art implementation in Unreal Engine (UMG) or equivalent game engine.
- Experience with building UI materials and shaders for game engines or equivalent 3D packages and FX tools; motion design and UI animation, preferably for games or interaction design.
- You have the ability to see features through to completion and quickly modify work as information changes.
- You have a passion for making and playing games and have a strong sense of empathy for players.
- You are a proactive person who naturally takes responsibility for results and is able to handle ambiguity well and adapt quickly to changes in plans.
