THOUGHTFISH is looking for a Unity Developer. The role involves developing games and gamified apps for mobile devices, VR, MR, PC, and consoles. Responsibilities include being solution-driven, developing original ideas, collaborating with artists and game designers, developing tools for pipeline optimization, and low-level profiling and optimization. The candidate should write memory- and mobile-friendly code. The company is looking for professionals to strengthen their team.
Must have:
  • Develop original ideas for software and game development

  • At least 2 years of mobile game development experience
  • Good English communication skills and team work experience

THOUGHTFISH is looking for a:

Unity Developer (f/m/d)

Thoughtfish develops games and gamified apps for mobile devices, VR, MR, PC, and consoles. We strive to create innovative products and technologies with areas of applicability beyond the scope of gaming. We are looking for professionals to strengthen our friendly, highly-motivated team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Be solution-driven, take initiative, and develop original ideas towards all aspects of software and game development

  • Collaborate closely with artists and game designers
  • Develop and maintain tools for pipeline optimization
  • Low level profiling and optimization, write memory- and mobile-friendly code

Your Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in mobile game development

  • Experience with shaders, animation, lighting, and FX on mobile devices
  • Good English communication skills and team work experience

Your Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of Unity and extensive experience in C#
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in debugging

  • Experience optimizing memory and space usage for the support of older hardware

  • Ability to constantly learn and stay in touch with the evolving game standards, development technologies, and architectural patterns

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
  • Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git

Bonus Points for Experience with:

  • C++ and JS
  • Unreal Engine 4 and 5
  • NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
  • Cloud backend services such as Firebase or Gamesparks
