Job Description

Super 78, established in 1997, is an award-winning themed attraction and experience designer. They are seeking a self-motivated Unreal Engine Developer to join their team in Silver Lake, California. The developer will collaborate with both programming and art teams, contributing to the design and development of various applications and real-time experiences. Responsibilities include developing and implementing new features within Unreal Engine, debugging and optimizing software, integrating assets from art and animation teams, creating interactions using Blueprints, creating builds, and matching the look of pre-rendered media. Candidates should be eager to learn and willing to undertake a variety of tasks.

Must have:

Proven experience as an Unreal Engine Developer.
Proficient with C++ and blueprints in Unreal Engine.
Strong knowledge of game development and 3D engines.
Proficiency with version control software.
Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
Passionate about real-time technologies.
Self-starter with ability to work independently.

Good to have:

Understanding of network programming, physics, and AI.
Familiarity with UE5 animation tools, especially control rig.
Experience with Rokoko to Metahumans pipeline.
Knowledge of timecode, A/V, BlackMagic, and similar hardware.
Willingness to learn new systems and plug-ins.

Super 78 is looking to expand its team with a self-motivated Unreal Engine Developer. You will work with both the programming and art teams to assist with the successful design and development of a range of applications and real-time experiences.

Candidates should be eager to learn with a self-starter personality that is ready and willing to jump into a wide variety of tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement new features within the Unreal Engine.
Debug, optimize, and ensure software stability in the game's engine.
Integrate assets from the art and animation teams, ensuring they meet the necessary technical requirements.Mocap Pipeline - metahuman experience a plus.
Create interaction and functionality using Unreal's Blueprints system.
Responsible for making builds and ensuring there is always a backup of working builds.
Work with Creative Director, Producers and Technical Artist to match the look of prerendered media in a real-time Unreal environment.
