Viga Entertainment Technology Private Limited is seeking a talented Unreal Engine Cinematic Artist to create immersive cinematic sequences. Responsibilities include collaborating with artists and animators using Unreal Engine Sequencer, developing previz and camera blackouts, utilizing Unreal Engine 5 features (Sequencer, Lighting, keyframing, animation), applying photography principles (exposure, ISO, shutter speed, aperture), demonstrating knowledge of color theory, composition, framing, and various camera/lighting techniques. The role also involves film editing, collaborating with directors and cinematographers, contributing to the real-time filmmaking process, and working with the rendering pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 2+ years of Unreal Engine Sequencer experience, and a deep understanding of photography and filmmaking principles.

Job Details
We are seeking a talented and experienced Unreal Engine Cinematic artist to join our creative team. As a Cinematographer/Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in creating immersive and visually captivating cinematic sequences using Unreal Engine and collaborating with our team of artists, animators, and directors. If you have a strong passion for visual storytelling, a deep understanding of cinematography principles, and the ability to work with cutting-edge technology, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with artists and animators to create scenes, sequences, and character animations using Unreal Engine Sequencer.
- Develop rough previz and camera blackouts to visualize and plan sequences effectively.
- Utilize your expertise in Unreal Engine 5, including Sequencer, Lighting, Basic Key framing & Animation, to produce stunning visuals.
- Apply your understanding of photography principles, such as exposure, ISO, shutter speed, and aperture, to achieve desired effects.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of color theory, composition, framing, shot sizes, and various cameras, lenses, and lighting techniques to evoke the required emotional aspects in the story.
- Utilize film editing and filmmaking experience to enhance the overall quality and impact of the cinematic sequences.
- Collaborate closely with film directors, cinematographers, and creative leads to understand their vision and bring it to life in Unreal Engine.
- Contribute to the real-time filmmaking process by working with camera animation and ready-made skeletal animation.
- Work with the rendering pipeline to ensure optimal visual quality and performance.
- Cooperate with the production team, including leads and project managers, to deliver the best visuals in Unreal Engine.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cinematography, Video Editing, or equivalent field.
- 2+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine Sequencer.
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in using Unreal Engine 5, including Sequencer, Lighting, Basic Keyframing & Animation.
- Deep understanding of photography principles and their application in a digital environment.
- Extensive knowledge of color theory, composition, framing, shot sizes, cameras, lenses, and lighting techniques.
- Experience in film editing and filmmaking is essential.
- Previous experience working with film directors, cinematographers, and creative leads.
- Keen interest in visual storytelling and a passion for films.
- Real-time filmmaking experience is a plus.
- Aesthetic and cinematic sensibilities that contribute to creating visually compelling sequences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Plus:
- Knowledge of film editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Familiarity with 3D software such as Cinema 4D, Blender, or Autodesk Maya.
