Job Summary

Techland, a major Polish video game company, is seeking a Technical Animator. This full-time role involves rigging and skinning characters, cooperating with modelers and animators, developing animation pipelines, and working with the Engine team on animation systems and tools. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the video game industry, strong knowledge of rigging, skinning, 3D packages, and scripting, along with a good understanding of human anatomy.

Must Have

  • At least 5 years of experience on a similar position in video games industry
  • Very good knowledge of rigging and skinning
  • Experience with in-house or commercial game engines (e.g. Unreal)
  • Very good understanding of human anatomy
  • Deep knowledge of 3D packages (Max or Maya)
  • Physics simulation experience
  • Knowledge of scripting (Python preferred)
  • Very good communication skills
  • Keeping up to date with current technology trends
  • Good command of English

Your daily tasks:

  • Rigging and skinning models of characters and creatures,
  • Cooperating with modelers and animators to create high-quality assets,
  • Developing and improving pipeline for art and animation team,
  • Working with the Engine team to develop animation systems, creating and improving engine tools

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience on a similar position in video games industry,
  • Very good knowledge of rigging and skinning,
  • Experience with in-house or commercial game engines (e.g. Unreal),
  • Very good understanding of human anatomy,
  • Deep knowledge of 3D packages (Max or Maya),
  • Physics simulation experience,
