This is a fantastic opportunity for a Valuations Surveyor to join Marsh Advisory, working on independent reinstatement valuations and large-scale portfolio assessments across the UK. The role is suitable for individuals with a background in property valuations/surveyance or a related degree, seeking to join a market-leading insurance broker. It requires a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
Must have:
  • Undertake independent on-site valuations

  • Produce reports to a professional standard
  • Knowledge of valuation principles
  • Strong report-writing skills

Valuations Surveyor, Marsh Advisory (UK-based)

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Valuations Surveyor to join our Marsh Advisory team. This role could be based anywhere within England or Scotland as long as commutable to a local Marsh office when required.

This role offers the chance to work on independent reinstatement valuations and large-scale portfolio assessments across the UK, providing invaluable experience in a dynamic environment.

This is the perfect role for either someone with a demonstrable background in Property Valuations/Surveyance or possibly someone with a related degree or experience looking to join an established, market leading insurance broker.

The position requires a valid driver’s license as a company car is included, an interest in property and valuation processes, and the willingness to travel across the UK.

We will rely on you to:

  • Undertake independent on-site valuations
  • Assist with valuation of large property portfolios
  • Undertake desk-top valuations
  • Assist with mass housing portfolio valuations
  • Produce reports to a professional standard

What you need to have:

  • Knowledge of valuation principles
  • Strong report-writing skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail, even whilst working under pressure.
  • High level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to build, manage and develop relationships.
