DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising and reporting on the work of a selected part of the VAT COE team and assigning tasks in a way that allows adaptation to changing requirements
Substantive and process-oriented support of the VAT COE team in correct and timely VAT reporting and in the preparation of audit documentation
Creation, maintenance and standardization of procedures for existing and implemented VAT COE services
Control and maintenance of system settings related to VAT reporting
Identify and report issues and root causes, propose remedial actions
Cooperation with other finance departments, tax department, tax authorities and external service providers
Monitoring of VAT related legislation changes and active participation/assistance in implementation of new legal and business requirements
Training and development support for other members of the VAT COE team and other departments
Participation in the design and implementation of improvements and modifications for existing and new VAT reporting processes and tools resulting from changes in the law or business needs
Timely performance of assigned tasks in accordance with the applicable quality system of the Aptiv Corporation and the Technical Centre in Kraków
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 8 year experience in finance or accounting (preferably in VAT departments in a shared services or multinational company)
Minimum 5 year experience in preparation of VAT returns (GST returns) for different legislations
SAP/Oracle working knowledge
SAP tax codes settings skills
Advanced Excel user
Very good command of English
Fast learner with proactive approach to adopt changes
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in one of the following areas: Finance/Tax/Accounting/Economics or certified accountant/tax advisor degree
Good command of other European language
