Job Summary
The VP, Account Supervisor (VP, AS) is responsible for the day-to-day success of assigned brands, driving strategic decisions and ensuring executional excellence. This role requires a deep understanding of the business and client needs, fostering strong relationships internally and externally. Key responsibilities include providing strategic direction for creative processes, ensuring high standards of execution, and managing client and team financial needs. The VP, AS also mentors junior account team members and models a solutions-oriented mindset. In-person client travel and a hybrid work schedule are essential for this position.
Must Have
- 5+ years of pharma marketing or agency experience
- Previous experience managing direct reports
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Build and maintain effective client relationships
- Fully understand marketing channels and their leverage
- Interact with key client contacts beyond day-to-day client
- Provide strategic direction and approvals in the creative process
- Ensure high standards of execution and communication in client work

Overview
The VP, Account Supervisor (VP, AS) is responsible for the day-to-day success of the brands they oversee. The VP, AS will drive strategic decisions while also ensuring executional excellence. They know their business inside and out and also know what keeps the clients up at night. They are indispensable to their clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains effective client relationships.
- Fully understands marketing channels and how and when they should be leveraged.
- Possesses the knowledge to interact with key client contacts beyond their day-to-day client.
- Provide strategic direction and approvals at significant steps of the creative process.
- Ensure high standards of execution and communication in all client work.
- Builds and fosters relationships across all departments, encouraging maximum engagement and excitement for the clients
- Exhibits an equal level of comfort in all written and verbal communication, for all audiences.
- Leads the team in a manner that encourages, mentors, executes, and supports company values.
- Manages brand, client, and team financial needs.
- Seen as a resource for junior account team at large. Creates opportunities for direct reports and actively mentors and guides them.
- Models a solutions mindset. Acts as a sounding board for junior team members and gracefully navigates difficult client conversations.

Experience
- 5+ years of pharma marketing or agency experience.
- Previous experience managing direct reports.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Solid strategic thinking skills.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to collaborate across a multi-disciplinary brand team.
- Superior presentation skills.
- Experience working in print, digital and other channels.
