Job Description

The Addressable Media Manager will design and implement full-funnel media strategies, manage budget allocation, and ensure investment effectiveness. This role requires staying updated on media trends, AI technology, and new platforms, with a deep understanding of data sources and consumer journeys. The manager will interpret data for actionable insights and collaborate internally and externally to optimize media performance and ROI, particularly across digital and social platforms in Greater China.
Must have:
  • Design full funnel media strategy spanning AIP consumer journeys.
  • Define channel mix and manage budget allocation for investment effectiveness.
  • Supervise operations from mass media to end-performance media.
  • Stay updated on macro media trends, algorithm changes, and new AI technology.
  • Deep understanding of 1st and 2nd party data sources.
  • Identify and select audiences (1st, 2nd, 3rd party).
  • Understand data from various channels (BATT, OTV, EC, vertical channel).
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Partner with data, tech, tracking/reporting, and creative teams.
  • Manage relationships and performance with external agencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in media agency with top digital platforms (BATT, RED, Douyin).
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Strong knowledge of full media, including mass media and top digital/social platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, execute, and deliver consumer insights.
Good to have:
  • Experience in consumer health/FMCG fields.
  • Understanding of regulatory environment.
  • In-Platform expertise including social eco-system (Douyin, & Red), Ali Data bank, JD Shufang, TDC, Yuntu.

Key responsibilities

Strategy Development & Implementations

  • Design full funnel media strategy spanning AIP consumer journeys to fit brand strategies, and define channel mix, manage budget allocation to ensure investment effectiveness and measurements setting
  • Supervise the operations from fundamental mass media to end-performance media to maximize media investment effectiveness & maximizing high ROI

Industry & Channel Expertise

  • Stay updated on macro media trends, algorithm changes, new AI technology and new features across new emerging media platforms; recommend and implement innovation to gain a competitive edge for OTC
  • Deep understanding of 1st and 2nd party data sources and identify and select audiences (1st, 2nd, 3rd) alongside with selection guidelines
  • Understand how data from various channels (BATT, OTV, EC, vertical channel, etc) can help the overall consumer journey, from upper funnel to mid and lower funnel, identify and capitalize on key drivers of performance and identify opportunities for growth

Analytical Interpretations

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, synthesize findings, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions

Internal & External Collaboration

  • Partner with peers’ teams, such as data, tech, tracking/reporting teams, CAST/creative team to ensure closed loop learnings, refine audience segments strategy, exploring high-performing ad assets, execution to performance outcomes for continuous improved ROI optimization efforts
  • Manage relationships & performance with external agencies, leading communications with top digital/social platforms

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Minimum 6+ years of proven experience in media agency with top digital – BATT,RED & Douyin is preferred, consumer health/FMCG fields gaining in-house or at a global agency, with understanding of regulatory environment is a plus
  • Sharp communication skills are requisite with fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Strong knowledge with full media, including mass media (TV/OTV/OTT) and top digital / social media platforms. In-Platform expertise including social eco-system (Douyin, & Red), Ali Data bank, JD Shufang, TDC, Yuntu, etc
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead, execute and deliver compelling and actionable consumer insights in an exciting work environment, balancing both speed and rigor
  • Experience in healthcare/consumer healthcare/FMCG communications field gained in-house or at a global agency, with understanding of regulatory environment a plus
