Job Description

In the role of Staff, Agile Coach, you will be a catalyst for driving agile transformation within our organization. By facilitating and guiding Scrum and Kanban practices, you will empower teams to become self-organizing and high-performing. Your expertise in scaled agile planning will help align product strategies with delivery efforts, fostering a collaborative environment across product lines. As a servant leader, you will inspire teams and leaders to embrace agile methodologies, contributing to improved technical excellence and organizational agility. Your efforts will be instrumental in creating an environment that values continuous improvement and predictable delivery.
Must have:
  • Collaborate with Agile and Engineering leaders to establish and implement agile objectives and metric systems.
  • Facilitate engaging Agile events such as quarterly release and product planning sessions to enhance team and value stream performance.
  • Coach Engineering and Product leads in effective Portfolio Management, using metrics to drive improvements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies focused on systems, workstreams, and value streams.
  • Utilize enterprise tools like Atlassian Agile Portfolio Management for effective forecasting and reporting.
  • Lead cross-team dependency management to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery.
  • Mentor Product leads in roadmap creation and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Champion Agile maturity initiatives, guiding teams through health assessments and improvement activities.
  • Lead Community of Practice sessions to share knowledge and enhance our Lean-Agile practices.
  • Facilitate cross-team discussions to address dependencies and enable smoother workflow.
Good to have:
  • Additional certifications like PAL, EBM, KMP, and SAFe certifications.
  • Advanced Scrum Alliance certifications such as A-CSM, A-CSPO, CSP, CAL.
  • Experience in elevating teams within technical, data, or cloud domains to higher agility.
  • Expertise in conducting Agile and Scrum training workshops.
  • Proven experience in fostering a positive and engaging agile culture through team-building activities.

Who You Are

  • What you’ll bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with over 12 years in relevant roles, including 6-8 years of enterprise Agile coaching with matrixed teams.
  • Proven background as a Scrum Master or Agile/Kanban Coach with successful team coaching experience.
  • Certifications such as PSM I & II, PSPO I & II, CSM, CSPO.
  • Strong communication skills capable of conveying agility concepts effectively across all levels.
  • Ability to adapt and blend agile frameworks to suit organizational needs.
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities and a proactive approach complemented by organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage and inspire collaboration across teams.
