Job Description

Support the Head of Marketing in the strategic development and execution of PPQ’s marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth, brand awareness, customer engagement, and advocacy. Lead the execution of key marketing programs and manage agency relationships, while mentoring team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of marketing performance.

  • Support strategic initiatives like marketing automation and new product development.
  • Prepare monthly marketing activity reports and contribute to business plans.
  • Support strategic planning and execution of marketing events and sponsorships.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior marketing team members.
  • Assist with budget tracking, PO management, and financial reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (Privacy Act, ACCC, ACMA).

Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Support the Head of Marketing in the strategic development and execution of PPQ’s marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth, brand awareness, customer engagement, and advocacy. Lead the execution of key marketing programs and manage agency relationships, while mentoring team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of marketing performance.

RESPONSIBLITIES / AUTHORITY:

Brand Management

  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to evolve and implement the PPQ brand strategy.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing assets and channels.
  • Lead the development and rollout of multi-channel brand campaigns, including ATL and digital, with oversight of creative execution and performance analysis.

Performance Management

  • Oversee monthly performance marketing activities, ensuring optimisation and relevance of content across channels.
  • Analyse campaign performance and digital metrics to inform strategic decisions and improve ROI.
  • Work closely with the media agency to refine targeting, creative, and spend allocation.

Program Management

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of key marketing programs (e.g., gifting, seasonal campaigns), including end-to-end execution of campaigns, such as:
  • Intercompany briefing, feedback and changes
  • Production and roll-out
  • Performance analysis
  • SEM
  • Paid social
  • All creative multi-channel campaign assets (ATL or digital)
  • Gaining approval from Head of Marketing and thereafter, Management team.
  • Manage agency briefings, production timelines, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Monitor program performance and report on outcomes, applying a measure/learn/refine approach.
  • Management and implementation of Program related owned assets e.g. PL8M8 eDMs and additional email marketing/ SMS sends with associated database collection, segmentation and optimisation requirements.
  • Liaison, briefing, testing and optimisation of digital development requirements needed for Program initiatives.
  • Analysis, reporting and optimisation of Program performance at regular intervals over time.
  • Reporting on all paid media spend with each Program to encompass a measure/learn/refine approach to ensure ROI and continuous improvement.

Branded Content and Influencer Management

  • Oversee development, execution and sequencing of User Generated Content and Branded Content ads in line with social media strategy.
  • Management of influencer/ creator activity including:
  • Liaison, planning and coordination with outsourced agencies or suppliers
  • Ensuring engagement is optimised and/ or maintained and content is monitored for appropriateness.
  • Budgeting, implementation and evaluation of all boosted ‘Branded Content ads’ or influencer/ creator activity with media agency.
  • Compilation of monthly performance metrics for Branded Content and Influencer advertising.

Digital

  • Manage the completion of objectives for project plans, epics, stories, acceptance testing and campaign landing pages.
  • Drive digital marketing initiatives including SEM, paid social, display, programmatic, and eDMs.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Team on PPQ.com.au enhancements, landing pages, and user experience improvements.
  • Manage analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tag Manager) to ensure accurate tracking and actionable insights.

Unique Responsibilities

  • Champion consistent brand tone and messaging across all marketing touch points. This may be in consultation with the Digital Team when required.
  • Lead the development of customer stories, editorials, PR releases and social content including discovery, content generation and engagement.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as marketing automation, market research and new product development.

Reporting

  • Prepare monthly marketing activity reports for TMR, including campaign performance and media spend analysis.
  • Contribute to business plans, proposals and strategic documentation as required by the Head of Marketing.

Marketing Events:

  • Support the strategic planning and execution of marketing events, activations, and sponsorships that align with PPQ’s brand and business objectives.
  • Provide assistance with event concept development, budgeting, logistics, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ensure events deliver measurable outcomes in terms of brand engagement, customer acquisition, and media coverage.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery and post-event evaluation.
  • Maintain a calendar of key marketing events and ensure integration with broader campaign activity, including supporting the development and management of rosters ensuring operational continuity.

Other

  • Provide leadership and guidance to marketing team, support development and performance of junior team members.
  • Assist the Head of Marketing with budget tracking, PO management and financial reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (Privacy Act, ACCC, ACMA) and uphold data integrity across marketing activities.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing, with a strong track record in brand and campaign management.
  • Experience in budget management, strategic planning and team leadership.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Communications or other disciplines preferred, but not essential.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and digital marketing tools.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable to change.
