The Area Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow private event sales across Santa Fe, NM and Grapevine, TX locations. This role focuses on identifying high revenue opportunities, creating innovative sales initiatives, and driving long-term partnerships to achieve ambitious sales goals. With oversight of all private event bookings, the Regional Sales Manager collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring exceptional event execution and revenue optimization. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to cultivate relationships to maximize revenue streams.

With oversight of all private event bookings, the Regional Sales Manager collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring exceptional event execution and revenue optimization. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to cultivate relationships to maximize revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

Private Event Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Drive private event bookings to meet or exceed revenue goals for the Santa Fe and Grapevine locations.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities within corporate, social, and association segments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-value clients, event planners, and decision-makers to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Partner with leadership to create exclusive private event offerings and add-ons to attract diverse clientele.
  • Proactively solicit, secure, and manage private event bookings to optimize space utilization and maximize revenue.

Sales Strategy & Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including Operations, Marketing, and Events, to deliver seamless private event experiences.
  • Collaborate with the National Senior Director of Private Events to develop strategic initiatives that grow the private event business.
  • Ensure all sales efforts align with our brand standards and exceed client expectations.
  • Utilize CRM tools (e.g., TripleSeat) to manage leads, track progress, and generate performance reports.
  • Provide regular analysis of sales trends, opportunities, and pipeline activity to inform strategic decision-making.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for private event clients, providing exceptional service throughout the sales and event planning process.
  • Conduct site tours (or schedule with Ops) and presentations to showcase event spaces and offerings to prospective clients.
  • Manage contracts, invoicing, and payment processes to ensure a smooth client experience.

Sales Tools, Metrics, and Analysis:

  • Utilize CRM tools (e.g., TripleSeat) to manage leads, track progress, and report on sales performance.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on private event sales performance, pipeline, and key opportunities.
  • Share insights, analysis, and recommendations to optimize sales channels and increase conversion rates.

Industry Engagement & Partner Relations:

  • Cultivate relationships with industry partners, including Destination Management Companies (DMCs), CVBs, and hotels, to drive private event sales.
  • Represent us at industry events, familiarization trips, and networking opportunities to promote private event capabilities and establish new partnerships.

Sales Operations & Reporting:

  • Oversee administrative needs for private events, including calendar management, contracts, holds, and follow-ups.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders to ensure all private event details are executed flawlessly.
  • Continually monitor sales metrics and provide actionable insights to improve performance and drive growth.

Event Coordination Support:

  • Coordinate logistics for confirmed private events, ensuring exceptional client communication and satisfaction.
  • Oversee post-event follow-ups, including gathering feedback, processing invoices, and generating repeat business opportunities.
  • Manage administrative needs for events, including placing holds, updating internal calendars, managing contracts, and processing payments.

Other Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in private event sales, event management, or a related role, ideally within entertainment, hospitality, or experiential venues.
  • Proven success in driving private event revenue and achieving sales targets.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate and social clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as TripleSeat, Salesforce, or similar systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-first approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support sales and client engagement efforts.
  • High level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and creativity with a results-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new tools and systems quickly.
  • A valid drivers license is required for this position.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners. This position also works in an indoor setting with exposure to noisy environments, dim lighting, strong visual effects including strobing lights, special effects, fog machines and small and / or enclosed spaces.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical ability to walk, stand, take stairs/slides/elevators, and navigate the elements during the day and night. Employee may be required to remain in a sitting or standing position for prolonged periods, and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9a.m. to 5 p.m. or 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

This position does not require supervisory responsibility.

Travel

This position will require minimal travel (<10%)
