Job Description

This Ottawa-based Regional Account Manager role at Trend Micro focuses on strengthening cybersecurity across Canadian Federal Government institutions. The successful candidate will drive new business and expand existing relationships, showcasing the value of Cyber Risk Exposure Management, XDR, Zero Trust Secure Access, and Security for AI. Responsibilities include closing large cybersecurity transactions, developing strategic territory plans, exceeding revenue targets, and cultivating senior-level relationships within federal accounts.

  • Collaborate with channel reps on account mapping, joint sales calls, and monthly customer events.
  • Promote Trend Micro events, Vision One workshops, and webinars to federal stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute sales plans in collaboration with channel partners to identify and grow new opportunities.
  • Self-starter with ability to learn new technologies through self-paced platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and account management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Must Have:
  • Proven track record of closing large cybersecurity transactions within public sector or enterprise environments.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Trend Micro’s products, services, and federal procurement processes.
  • Build and manage a strategic territory plan focused on federal departments and agencies.
  • Drive and exceed aggressive revenue targets through disciplined sales execution.
  • Cultivate senior-level relationships within assigned federal accounts.
  • Conduct regular in-person meetings with clear follow-up actions leading to demos, PoCs, and closed deals.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Proven success in closing enterprise cybersecurity deals ($100K+ per transaction).
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience with a minimum of 5 years in cybersecurity sales.
  • Experience selling to Departmental Security Officers (DSO), and senior IT/security leaders in government.
  • Familiarity with federal procurement and contracting processes.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with ability to manage complex sales cycles.
  • Ability to qualify opportunities accurately and motivate prospects.
  • Proven ability to build pipeline (5x of new business quota) and exceed quarterly targets.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business and expanding existing relationships within the Canadian Federal Government. You are a strategic seller with a background in enterprise cybersecurity sales, ideally with experience navigating public sector procurement processes. You bring a results-oriented mindset and a passion for exceeding sales targets while delivering exceptional value to government clients.

You will play a key role in influencing federal departments and agencies to adopt Trend Micro’s Vision One Platform and expand their use of its modules. Success in this role requires deep understanding of complex enterprise sales, public sector dynamics, and the ability to build a robust pipeline of opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Proven track record of closing large cybersecurity transactions within public sector or enterprise environments.
