Job Description
As an Associate Animation Content Developer at Rockstar Games, you will be part of a team contributing to world-class entertainment experiences. You will be involved in creating and implementing animation assets for game characters within the game engine. Responsibilities include supporting the creation of tools for proprietary animation technology, reporting on status, evaluating performance, and collaborating with other studios and departments. The role requires a passion for animation and video games, teamwork, and a dedication to delivering high-quality work within a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Bangalore, India.
Good To Have:
- Previous QA experience within games.
- Experience with Confluence and other project tracking software.
- Ability to work with code and data languages such as XML, Python, C#.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art/Animation or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of animation principles.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be adaptable to evolving tools and workflows.
- Report bugs accurately with clear descriptions.

Rockstar India is on the lookout for a talented Associate Animation Content Developer, who possess a passion for animation and video games.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Rockstar’s large game development studio in Bangalore, India.
WHAT WE DO
- We work on improving the believability of our world, adding animation performance to our in-game characters.
- We work as a global animation team to collaborate on player experiences.
- We use our tools to add meta data, ensuring a responsive performance with a strong consideration of the animation principles and gameplay constraints.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the creation of tools to help facilitate the use of proprietary animation technology.
- Supporting the Animation Team with implementation of animation assets into the game engine.
- Regular status reporting.
- Evaluating performance results and providing constructive feedback to improve quality.
- Working closely and coordinating with other R* studios and departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Art/Animation or equivalent experience.
- Outstanding demo reel.
SKILLS
- A good understanding of animation principles.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work closely with members of our global teams.
- Positive, solution-oriented individuals with a passion for game development.
- Highly adaptable to evolving tools, pipelines, and workflows.
- Driven individual who completes high quality work with relative autonomy.
- Ability accurately reports bugs with consistent reproducibility steps and clear bug descriptions.
PLUSES
Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
