Job Description

We are seeking an experienced detail orientated and employee focused Benefits Specialist to join our Total Rewards Team! In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day administration of U.S. employee benefits programs, leaves of absence (LOA), and workplace accommodations. You’ll be a key point of contact for employees, ensuring a positive experience throughout their benefits and leave journeys. You’ll also be responsible for conducting audits, managing billing, resolving issues, and compliance activities to ensure benefits programs run smoothly and accurately. This position is primarily U.S. focused, but experience or interest in global benefits is a plus.
Must have:
  • Serve as primary contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, LOA, and accommodations.
  • Administer day-to-day operations of U.S. benefits programs.
  • Manage LOA processes, including FMLA and state-specific leaves.
  • Coordinate workplace accommodations in partnership with Legal and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct bi-weekly new hire benefits orientations and maintain materials.
  • Perform monthly audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile and process benefits billing and vendor invoices.
  • Support annual open enrollment and other benefits related projects.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and support employee needs.
  • Maintain internal benefit intranet pages and keep policies/documents up to date.
  • Support Global Benefits Manager with required filings and audits for US benefit programs.
  • 2-4 years of relevant U.S. benefits, LOA, and accommodations administration experience.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. benefits regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in auditing and billing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic data analysis).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with global benefits is a plus.
  • Experience with Workday, preferred.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, LOA, and accommodations, including managing the benefits inbox.
  • Administer day-to-day operations of U.S. benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Manage LOA processes, including FMLA, state-specific leaves, and company-sponsored programs.
  • Coordinate workplace accommodations in partnership with Legal, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct bi-weekly new hire benefits orientations and maintain orientation materials.
  • Perform monthly audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile and process benefits billing and vendor invoices.
  • Support annual open enrollment and other benefits related projects.
  • Partner with internal teams (e.g., Payroll, People Team, Legal) and external vendors to help resolve issues and support employee needs.
  • Maintain internal benefit intranet pages and keeping policies/documents up to date.
  • Supports Global Benefits Manager with required filings and audits for US benefit programs (1095-C, 401k audit, discrimination testing, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring

  • 2 - 4 years of relevant U.S. benefits, LOA, and accommodations administration experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of U.S. benefits regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.)
  • Familiarity with global benefits is a plus.
