  • Job Title: Sr. Manager, Global Payroll
  • Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Global Payroll to lead and optimize our global payroll operations across multiple regions. This role will be responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while managing vendor relationships and supporting our global mobility program. This is more than just payroll processing; you’ll be a strategic leader, ensuring compliance, driving process improvements, and leveraging Workday integrations to enhance efficiency. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with the People Team, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and external service providers to provide insights on payroll, tax processing, and policy matters while navigating a fast-paced, ever-evolving global landscape.

What you’ll do

Operations

  • Oversee TPCi’s payroll operations, systems, and cross functional processes in North America, Europe, and LATAM.
  • Manage the processing and reporting of periodic and ad hoc payrolls, timecard administration, tax reporting, quarter-end filings, and year-end reporting supporting approximately TPCi’s global employee populations.
  • Drive continual improvements and efficiencies by partnering with internal and external partners to develop new and fine-tune existing global processes.
  • Create and review payroll policies, key financial controls, and standard operating procedures.
  • Understand the complexity of multi-state and multi-country payroll as well as ensure compliance to all rules and regulations within these regions.
  • Support various internal and external audits, domestic and international if needed. Set up payroll processes in new countries as we expand operations internationally.
  • Serve as a technical expert for payroll matters with a deep understanding of payroll law, tax regulations and accounting principles. Includes in depth understanding of payroll systems, interfaces, earnings/deduction code set up and mapping to the general ledger, as well as posting and correcting errors.
  • Work with internal team and vendors to ensure People Team, Benefits and Payroll changes are processed, accurate funding occurs for all accounts, tax remittance, general ledger balancing, month-end close support is completed.
  • Serve as a liaison to employees to resolve payroll-related issues/disputes. Onboard new employees.
  • Design and run ad hoc reports as needed to support payroll and other internal customers.
  • Manage our relationship with third-party payroll providers.

Leadership

  • Influence and negotiate priorities with a focus on continuous improvement of operational processes and systems.
  • Develop and train staff (provide appropriate training, coaching and career opportunities) to ensure the efficient and effective support to the business.
  • Demonstrated change/project management skills – can effectively lead projects by establishing priorities, building and executing project plans, and delivering on commitments.
  • Prepare, communicate and educate internal customers and team on payroll changes in policies and practices.

               

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in payroll management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global payroll operations.
  • Strong proficiency with Workday Payroll software (3+ years) is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of global payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $142,000.00 – $169,000.00 per year. The full range is $142,000.00 - $213,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
