Job Description

Support the Multi-Vendor Services (MVS) business as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) for Philips customers in the Ashland, KY area. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites; generate service revenue; adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements.
Good To Have:
  • BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred.
  • General biomedical and sterilizer experience highly preferred.
Must Have:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and service repair on equipment utilizing service manual, OJT, OEM or 3rd Party training.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues, providing appropriate communication and involving appropriate site service personnel.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction as the primary goal.
  • Demonstrate ownership in difficult circumstances and show a sense of urgency about delivering results.
  • Establish priorities of the moment by assessing priorities communicated by the Site Manager, Site Team or customer.
  • Independently complete PMs, FCOs, installations, and all related tasks.
  • Independently diagnose, resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems, and resolve customer issues.
  • Located in or near the Ashland, KY area.
  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electronic circuit boards, schematics, processors and computer hardware including applications, programming, and systems functionality.
  • Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record compliant with Philips’ Fleet Policy.
  • Ability to work in an office/home office and/or remote setting, as well as in a hospital/healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (to include overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations).
  • Ability to safely work with radiation sources and/or radioactive materials; wear all required personal protective equipment.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position in KY is $24.00 to $37.00, plus overtime eligible.

This role also includes field service and lead generation incentive bonus plans, on-call pay, company fleet/car, training, and advancement opportunities. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive plan, field service incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
