Maintenance Electrical Specialist

Sika is seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist for their Maintenance team at the SikaFiber plant in Chattanooga, TN. This full-time role involves advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a fast-paced industrial environment. The specialist will be responsible for repairing complex electrical systems, PLCs, and control equipment, leading maintenance programs, interpreting schematics, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. They will also mentor team members and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Must Have

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electrical systems, PLCs, variable speed drives, and control equipment.
• Perform and lead preventive and condition-based maintenance programs focused on minimizing downtime and improving reliability.
• Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Install, maintain, and operate electrical/electronic systems while ensuring compliance with NEC, OSHA, and NFPA70E standards.
• Collaborate with and mentor maintenance team members, providing guidance on electrical best practices and troubleshooting.
• Participate in root cause analysis, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives to support production goals.
• 3+ years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, industrial automation, and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work any shift, be on call, and adhere to all PPE and safety standards.

Good to Have

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in industrial electrical/electronics.

• Perform and lead preventive and condition-based maintenance programs focused on minimizing downtime and improving reliability.
• Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Install, maintain, and operate electrical/electronic systems while ensuring compliance with NEC, OSHA, and NFPA70E standards.
• Collaborate with and mentor maintenance team members, providing guidance on electrical best practices and troubleshooting.
