The Bleacher Report Gaming Social Media Intern will assist in the daily programming of BR Gaming social media pages, brainstorming original content, coordinating with other internal brands, and adapting to changing content needs. This role requires a strong understanding of social media, video game culture, and short-form video content creation (particularly TikTok). Responsibilities include content curation, creation, and platform-specific visual editing. The internship is a paid opportunity located in NYC with a hybrid work model.

BR Gaming Social Media Intern: NYC - Summer 2025

Your New Role 

This internship will be located in the NYC area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule. 

As a BR Gaming intern, your role will be to help find, curate and create the best gaming content on the web. This role requires a strong understanding of social media and video game culture. You know what games people are playing and you know what the next game people are excited for. You also have a firm understanding of the visual and editing style of each unique social media platform (Instagram, TikTok, X, etc.) A large focus of this role will be TikTok, as we are growing our presence even more, so a strong understanding of that platform will be key.

 
 
Your Role Accountabilities 

  • Assist in the daily programming of the BR Gaming pages

  • Brainstorm original content offerings

  • Coordinate with other internal brands for possibly joint projects

  • Able to work in a collaborative environment

  • Able to pivot and change direction depending on content and programming needs

  • Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys working under pressure

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Avid social media user

  • Strong understanding of TikTok style and lingo

  • Strong gaming knowledge and passion

  • Wide understanding of gaming landscape

  • Experience creating short-form social media content

  • Some knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premiere

  • Photoshop and web publishing skills also a plus

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required) 

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older) 

  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended. 

  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

What to know before applying: 

  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.   

  • Program date options: 

Option 1: June 2nd – August 15th  

Option 2: June 9th – August 22nd   

  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity 

  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.  

  • Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
