Job Description
The Brand Creative Director defines and leads the creative vision for the Witcher franchise across all marketing and communications. This role establishes the franchise’s creative platform, directs the development of world-class campaigns, and ensures that every asset authentically represents the Witcher brand. Partnering closely with Franchise Leadership, Game Directors, and cross-functional creative teams, the Director drives the storytelling, visual identity, and audience impact of one of gaming’s most iconic franchises.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the long-term creative platform for the Witcher franchise, ensuring all creative output reflects franchise goals, audience expectations, and brand identity.
- Oversee the development of campaign concepts, creative briefs, scripts, and pitches for trailers, key art, social, digital, and experiential activations, ensuring ideas are bold, authentic, and strategically aligned.
- Guide internal and external creative teams in delivering best-in-class art, copy, film, and design work, providing clear feedback and approvals to uphold quality, brand fidelity, and consistency.
- Partner with Game, Narrative, and Art Directors, as well as Franchise and Marketing leads, to integrate creative vision with broader franchise strategy, serving as a bridge between development and publishing teams.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of designers, writers, and producers, fostering a collaborative, ambitious, and inclusive creative culture that raises the bar for storytelling and craft.
- Act as the brand guardian across all marketing touchpoints, safeguarding and growing the Witcher brand while ensuring creative work advances its long-term position as a global entertainment brand.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in creative direction, brand marketing, or related roles within gaming, entertainment, or advertising.
- Proven record of leading creative development for globally recognized IPs or AAA campaigns.
- Demonstrated success translating brand and marketing strategy into campaign platforms, concepts, and assets.
- Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams (game developers, narrative leads, designers, marketing strategists).
- History of managing and mentoring creative teams, with responsibility for both people leadership and creative excellence.
- Strong creative leadership skills with the ability to define vision and inspire teams.
- Expertise in evaluating and directing visual design, copywriting, film, and motion work.
- Strategic thinker who can align creative execution with brand goals and audience insights.
- Skilled communicator and presenter with experience pitching ideas and building stakeholder alignment.
- Deep understanding of storytelling, brand building, and campaign development in entertainment or gaming.
Preferred:
- Experience working with fantasy, narrative-driven, or RPG franchises.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Miro; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Passion for games, storytelling, and pop culture; strong familiarity with The Witcher universe.
