Job Summary

Job Description

This role is responsible for the visual design of the game's NPC ecosystem, collaborating with planning, programming, and other departments to complete early concept development and creative implementation. It involves planning lens colors, designing keyframe art and scene atmosphere maps based on script and storyboard requirements, and leading/participating in narrative art content creation like sequential storyboards and animated cutscene CGs. The role also assists in building the game's worldview visual system to ensure consistent art style.
Must have:
  • Responsible for visual design of game NPC ecosystem
  • Collaborate with planning and programming for concept development
  • Plan lens colors, design keyframe art and scene atmosphere maps
  • Lead/participate in narrative illustration, including storyboards and animated CGs
  • Assist in building game worldview visual system for style consistency
  • Solid foundation in modeling and hand-drawing skills
  • Proficiency in sketching, perspective composition, and color theory
  • Familiarity with film/animation narrative, performance rhythm, and animation principles
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Procreate and other mainstream drawing software
Good to have:
  • Portfolio with storyboard design or illustration design works (e.g., storyboard scripts, four-panel comics, atmosphere maps, illustrations)
  • Familiarity with 3D auxiliary tools like Blender is a plus
  • Understanding of game development processes, with game project internship experience is a plus
  • Passion for game culture, with good teamwork awareness and communication skills

3. Lead/participate in the creation of narrative illustrations, including but not limited to sequential storyboards, animated cutscene CGs, and other narrative art content;

4. Assist in building the game's worldview visual system to ensure consistent art style.

Job Requirements

1. Majors in Fine Arts, Animation, Digital Media Art, or related fields are preferred;

2. Professional skill requirements:

  • Solid foundation in modeling and hand-drawing skills, proficient in sketching, perspective composition, and color theory;
  • Familiarity with film and animation narrative language, mastery of performance rhythm and animation principles;
  • Proficient in using mainstream drawing software such as Photoshop and Procreate;

3. Bonus points:

  • Portfolio with storyboard design or illustration design works (e.g., storyboard scripts, four-panel comics, atmosphere maps, illustrations);
  • Familiarity with 3D auxiliary tools like Blender is a plus;
  • Understanding of game development processes, with game project internship experience is a plus;
