Job Description

PACE, a subsidiary of Axel Springer SE, manages event management and gastronomy, including employee catering for 3,500 staff and event catering. The JOURNALISTENCLUB offers a meeting place for journalists and executives with a stunning view of Berlin. As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for quality assurance, control, and cleanliness of your assigned station, organizing work, and guiding staff. You will manage inventory, ensure quality and cost-conscious food preparation, and maintain continuous high quality and appealing food presentation. Daily coordination with superiors and creative input for menu design are also part of the role, along with adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
Must Have:
  • Responsible for quality assurance, control, and cleanliness of the assigned station.
  • Organize and manage work in terms of personnel and time, and instruct assigned employees.
  • Order daily required goods and ensure their proper storage.
  • Ensure quality and price-conscious consumption of all food items, adhering to recipes, quantities, and weight specifications.
  • Continuously ensure best quality and appealing food presentation.
  • Support kitchen management with inventory and monthly closing.
  • Daily coordination and close cooperation with superiors, as well as support in menu design with creative ideas.
  • Adhere to prescribed hygiene regulations, relevant food laws, safety regulations, and occupational health and safety measures.
  • Completed vocational training as a cook.
  • Several years of professional experience with sound specialist knowledge in gastronomy.
  • Interest and experience in modern, innovative cuisine with fresh products.
  • Experience in handling modern kitchen techniques and corresponding equipment.
  • Commitment, customer orientation, and cost-oriented quality thinking.
  • Enjoys teamwork, is communicative, and has initial experience in employee management.

Job Description

Qualifications

  • You have an interest and experience in modern, innovative cuisine with fresh products.
  • Experience in handling modern kitchen techniques and corresponding equipment, as well as commitment, customer orientation, and cost-oriented quality thinking complete your profile.
  • You enjoy teamwork, are communicative, and have initial experience in employee management.
  • You are eager to continue your education and show enthusiasm for your work.
