Job Description

The Client Training Architect (M/F) at Thales in Brest joins the Support and Services Engineering department, focusing on Radar or Electronic Warfare systems for naval or airborne environments. This role involves designing and delivering support elements, including technical reports, user documentation, and training, to enable clients to perform maintenance, operate systems, and ensure operational readiness of equipment. The position requires defining, managing, and promoting training offerings, both digital and traditional, for internal and external clients.
Must have:
  • Defines, manages, and promotes digital and traditional training offerings to clients and internally.
  • Designs, organizes, and leads technical training sessions on Electronic Warfare, airborne Radars, and maintenance.
  • Develops the training catalog, prepares quotes, and manages planning, budget tracking, and reporting.
  • Implements and continuously improves digital pedagogical tools (simulators, e-learning, virtual reality).
  • Manages outsourced activities and monitors training performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Contributes to user technical documentation related to training for client relations.

The Brest site houses our digital services activities as well as Thales' expertise in development, integration, and maintenance for maritime patrol and surveillance systems, electronic warfare, sonar systems, and airborne anti-submarine warfare.

As a Client Training Architect (M/F) for Radar or Electronic Warfare systems, in naval or airborne environments, you will join the Support and Services Engineering (ISS) department of the Client Support and Services (CSS) Directorate. This department designs and delivers support elements (technical reports, user technical documentation, and training) enabling its client users to perform maintenance tasks, operate systems, and ensure the operational readiness (MCO) of the supplied equipment.

Missions:

  • Defines, manages, and promotes the digital and traditional training offerings to clients and internally.
  • Designs, organizes, and leads technical training sessions on Electronic Warfare, airborne Radars, and maintenance, adapted to different levels.
  • Develops the training catalog, prepares quotes, and manages the planning, budget tracking, and reporting of training activities.
  • Implements and continuously improves digital pedagogical tools (simulators, e-learning, virtual reality) and manages available training resources.
  • Manages outsourced activities if necessary and monitors training performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Contributes to the writing of user technical documentation related to training to ensure the quality of client relations.

Occasional travel in France and abroad will be required.

You have a Bac+5 degree obtained from an engineering school or equivalent, specialized in electronics or aeronautics, and have experience in:

  • Management and delivery of technical training, ideally applied to the use and/or maintenance of electronic systems.
  • Implementation of digital training solutions: creation of e-learning modules and/or serious games, administration of an LMS, deployment of simulators at a client site, implementation of virtual reality solutions, etc.
  • Activity management: planning, management of cross-functional activities, cost tracking, cross-functional communication, reporting, etc.
  • Ideally, knowledge of the Electronic Warfare world in naval, airborne, or space environments, having acquired knowledge in electromagnetism, radio frequency, and signal processing.
  • English allowing fluid and effective communication with foreign military and industrial partners.
