Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of 30+ collections professionals across multiple functions and geographies.
- Drive superior cash collections performance, ensuring strong AR health and exceeding targets for Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Bad Debt Expense (BDE).
- Instill a customer-centric culture and a cash-first mindset across the entire Agreement-to-Cash (A2C) process.
- Leverage critical thinking and root cause analysis to efficiently resolve complex customer payment issues and aging receivables.
- Lead strategic customer negotiations and conversations with empathy, urgency, and strong business acumen.
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Billing, and Customer Care to ensure seamless process alignment and first-time resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the A2C cycle to eliminate recurring issues and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure the adoption of collections best practices, including automated dunning cycles and proactive customer outreach.
Key Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in collections, cash management, or Accounts Receivable, focused on enterprise and strategic accounts.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Proven success in improving collections, reducing DSO, and managing BDE in complex, multinational environments.
- In-depth knowledge of the Agreement-to-Cash (A2C) processes and performance metrics.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities, including performance coaching and talent growth.
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a track record of resolving complex customer scenarios and aged AR.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and achieving first-time resolution.
- Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems; experience with Oracle, Salesforce, or ServiceNow is preferred.
