About The Team The Datacenter Security and Safety Operations team plays a key role in ensuring the safety and security of the company's hyperscale datacenters through proactive risk management, incident response, and compliance with regulatory standards. About The Role Security operations specialists (SOS) are an essential part of the successful management of data center physical security programs. Being a part of a dynamic team, SOS should have a deep understanding of the security program by being well versed in physical security systems and understanding of established operational security practices. Responsibilities SOS must be able to leverage their understanding of security systems to manage alarms, providing Tier 1 level remote support and at times leverage their knowledge of operational security requirements to support Data Center Operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Provide on-site security and operational support in data centers and warehouses. - Monitor live video feeds from surveillance cameras to detect and respond to security incidents. - Manage and control access to the premises using electronic access control systems. - Respond to security incidents and/or emergencies and provide necessary support with relevant stakeholders. - Maintain clear and effective communication with security personnel, management, and emergency responders. - Ensure security systems work properly, perform checks and maintenance, assist in deployment. - Follow security policies, ensure regulatory compliance, assist in procedure development.
