Job Description

Onward Search seeks a Designer II for a well-known accounting company. This is a 3-month, fully remote contract opportunity. Responsibilities include design consultations, developing creative briefs and storyboards, executing design solutions aligning with business objectives, designing compelling presentations, mentoring team members, and project management. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent), 5+ years of experience, advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, and strong communication and project management abilities. The role demands strong conceptual thinking, visual presentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines and budget.

This is a 3-month contract opportunity. The role is fully remote.

Designer Responsibilities:

Conduct design consultations while navigating conversations with knowledge and insight toward business solutions
Develop and co-develop creative briefs, storyboards and layouts to effectively communicate design ideas that are persuasive and inclusive
Conceptualize and execute design solutions that align with business objectives while offering elevated client and team experiences
Design clear and visually compelling pitches and presentations that effectively communicate our clients' brand messages across various media platforms, with an emphasis in PowerPoint
Mentor creative project team members in developing conceptual skills and provide constructive feedback to implement the project vision
Act as a project manager for your assigned projects creating timelines and estimates to align with internal clients budget

Designer Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Creative digital portfolio demonstrating outstanding conceptual thinking and design skills, including compelling visual presentations
Five-plus years of related experience as a senior graphic designer
Experience working in a fast paced, matrixed agency or in-house team environment to develop a range of creative initiatives
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. Knowledge of Adobe Workfront is a plus
Strong knowledge and skills in designing interactive and static presentations
Ability to understand the internal clients vision through active listening, advanced communication and diplomacy with business partners, project owners, managers and internal team members
Ability to develop creative briefs, mood and image boards
Ability to strategize and lead ideation sessions with creative colleagues and clients
Sound business acumen to adapt while working alongside client-serving professionals
Excel at managing multiple projects, prioritizing milestones, and influencing clients and design colleagues to deliver desirable solutions within time frame and budget
Ability to initiate and successfully engage in creative ideation sessions and design sprints
Advanced technical understanding of digital media and print design in-house and with vendors
Willingness to accept administrative responsibilities such as project management and internal client communications along with creative development and design
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, and the ability to deliver exceptional results within strict deadlines
