Role Description:

The Developer Advocacy Team at LSEG promotes and fosters the successful use of LSEG APIs by developers within our industry, in fulfilment of the mission “help developers get their jobs done”. As a Developer Advocate, you’ll establish strong relationships with developers around the world by crafting great resources to help them build and integrate with LSEG platform APIs. This includes building sample apps, writing blog posts, creating tutorials and being a vocal proponent of our offerings and solutions both online and in person. You’ll foster developer communities, championing their interests and translate their feedback into actionable product insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create momentum and drive adoption of LSEG platforms through your interactions with developers building applications and businesses.
• Champion LSEG content and developer products in person and online by presenting at events, writing technical tutorials, publishing articles and videos.
• Build inspiring demos, sample apps and continuously improve the developer experience of LSEG APIs and SDKs.
• Managing the end-to-end onboarding of LSEG APIs, SDKs and Data Warehouse products to the developer community portal.
• Identify strategic partnership opportunities to grow LSEG developer community.
• Influence the direction of LSEG developer products by gathering insights from the developer community.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

We are looking to hire a Developer Advocate - ideally with a proven track record and experience in develop relations of 4 years or more who will inspire developers and communities to create momentum with LSEG platforms and content sets.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of financial markets and a proven track record in different programming languages, ideally Python, VBA, SQL, .NET and a background in economics, computing, data science or similar disciplines. Ideally they will have experience working on building strong community across a product-oriented organisation. Working closely with product management is key and any experience influencing and delivering within the product delivery framework would be beneficial.
