Job Description

The DSP R&D Engineer will be responsible for developing specifications, architecture, and micro-architecture of digital signal processing and communications algorithms. This role involves bit-exact MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ system modeling and simulation, as well as developing and running system-level simulation suites for copper Ethernet PHY transceivers. The engineer will perform vector matching verification with RTL simulations, define and document chip requirements, architecture, verification, and lab test plans. Responsibilities also include lab testing and debugging of ASICs, and developing documentation/application notes for customer support. A Master's degree with 6+ years of experience or a PhD with 3+ years of experience in Digital Signal Processing is required, along with knowledge of Communication Theory & Digital Signal Processing algorithms, equalizers, Timing Recovery, Echo Cancellation, and Gain Control algorithms. Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and experience architecting high-performance ASIC communication systems are highly desirable. Good lab skills and communication abilities are essential. Experience in Wireline Algorithms and Ethernet 802.3 PHY Transceivers is also required.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include:

• Bit-exact MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ system modeling and simulation

Requirements:
• Master's and 6+ years of related experience; or PhD in Digital Signal Processing and 3+ years of related experience
• Knowledge in Communication Theory & Digital Signal Processing algorithms
• Experience in equalizers, Timing Recovery, Echo Cancellation and Gain Control algorithms
• Experience in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink,
• Experience architecting communications systems for high performance ASIC based products is highly desirable
• Good hands-on skills in the lab
• Good oral and written communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $172,800

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
