INTERNSHIPS AT GUERRILLA

At Guerrilla we're a passionate team of creators, storytellers, and innovators who thrive on breaking boundaries and creating adventures that captivate players. As an intern at Guerrilla, you will immerse yourself in the world of game development. From collaborating with industry leaders to working on cutting-edge projects, you'll gain hands-on experience in various aspects of game creation.

OUR TEAM

Our Vegetation Art Team crafts immersive, natural environments that breathe life into our worlds through intricate and visually captivating vegetation. As a Vegetation Artist Intern, you’ll work alongside talented artists to create high-quality plant assets, enhancing the depth and atmosphere of our game landscapes.

WHO YOU ARE

In order to qualify for an internship at Guerrilla, you must be:

  • Currently enrolled in a Dutch school within a relevant field of study
  • Able to work on-site in our Amsterdam studio
  • Available for an Internship during the first half of 2025

Additionally, we'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • A portfolio showcasing strong 3D art skills and texturing techniques, particularly in creating organic assets like vegetation.
  • Familiarity with tools like SpeedTree, Maya and Substance Designer.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially with technical and aesthetic challenges in vegetation art.
  • Passion for learning and growing as a vegetation artist, with a drive to enhance your craft.
  • Collaborative mindset, demonstrating a positive attitude and adaptability in team settings.
  • Experience with game engines like Unreal or Unity is a plus

About The Company

As one of Europe's leading game development studios, Guerrilla has continually pushed the boundaries of technical and artistic excellence since its inception in 2003. Today, the studio employs 400 professionals from 25 different nationalities. Guerrilla’s state-of-the-art offices are located in the cultural and historical heart of Amsterdam, The Netherlands — a great place to work and play.


Guerrilla was founded as the result of a merger between three smaller Dutch studios: Lost Boys Games, Orange Games and Digital Infinity. In 2005, it was acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment after the release of Killzone on PlayStation 2. In the decade that followed, Guerrilla expanded Killzone into a successful franchise with a handheld spin-off and three sequels.


Guerrilla's next title, released for PlayStation 4 in 2017 and for PC in 2020, is the critically and popularly acclaimed open world action-RPG Horizon Zero Dawn. The studio released its sequel Horizon Forbidden West in February 2022, with the Burning Shores expansion in 2023. This year, Guerrilla also released the PSVR2 title, Horizon Call of the Mountain.
