Join Morningstar's Experiential Marketing team as an Events Operations Associate, gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading event technology. This role supports various event tech tools, collaborates with Event Managers, and contributes to pre-event planning and on-site execution. You will build a strong foundation in event operations, marketing, and project coordination, setting the stage for long-term growth in the events industry. The position is based in Chicago with a hybrid policy requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite.
Must have:
  • Support the Experiential Marketing team with a focus on event technology and onsite event operations.
  • Manage registrant email campaigns.
  • Manage push notifications.
  • Utilize audience engagement tools (Q&A & Polling).
  • Create and deploy surveys.
  • Manage registration.
  • Set up and maintain mobile event apps.
  • Administer Speaker Resource Center.
  • Administer Exhibitor Resource Center.
  • Perform reporting and data analysis.
  • Manage inbound email inbox.
  • Provide onsite registration desk support.
  • Coordinate “Event in a Box” system and materials.
  • Support Sr. Marketing Manager in external marketing efforts.
  • Provide general administrative support.

The Role:

Join our dynamic Experiential Marketing team as an Events Operations Associate, where you’ll gain hands-on experience with industry-leading event technology and play an important role in bringing events to life. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, loves working in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences.

In this role, you’ll support a variety of event tech tools, collaborate with seasoned Event Managers, and contribute to both pre-event planning and on-site execution. You’ll build a strong foundation in event operations, marketing, and project coordination—setting the stage for long-term growth in the events industry.

This position is based in our Chicago office. To foster continuous collaboration, we follow a hybrid policy in which a minimum of 3 days onsite is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Experiential Marketing team with a focus on event technology and onsite event operations, including:

  • Registrant Email Campaign Management
  • Push Notification Management
  • Audience Engagement Tools (Q&A & Polling)
  • Survey Creation & Deployment
  • Registration Management
  • Mobile Event App Setup & Maintenance
  • Speaker Resource Center Administration
  • Exhibitor Resource Center Administration
  • Reporting & Data Analysis

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Inbound Email Inbox Management
  • Onsite Registration Desk Support
  • “Event in a Box” System & Materials Coordination
  • Support Sr. Marketing Manager in external marketing efforts as needed
  • General Administrative Support

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–3 years of experience in events, marketing, or an operations role
  • Familiarity with Cvent or similar event platforms is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Total Cash Compensation Range

$58,150.00 - 98,875.00 USD Annual

Inclusive of annual base salary and target incentive
