As an FSTD Support Engineer I, you will diagnose and correct problems on flight simulators and associated systems, perform preventive maintenance, and utilize maintenance management systems. Responsibilities include mentoring junior technicians, providing technical training, and conducting pre-flight/post-flight checks, visual alignments, and Qualification Test Guide (QTG) tests. You will also assist engineering with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements, perform refurbishment, hardware/software changes, and address training deficiencies. Customer service, logistics, and administrative tasks are also part of the role.
Must Have:- Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Aviation related field
- At least 5 years related experience
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
- Good knowledge of MS-Office tools and suite
- Suitable understanding of aircraft terminology or simulation devices
- Ability to interpret schematics and other technical documents pertaining to aviation
- Adequate troubleshooting skills and knowledge of electronic test equipment
- Good understanding and comprehension of Avionics, Motion and Visual systems
- Computer Literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture and Networking)
- Proficient with Unix, Linux, WindowsNT/XP, AIX operating systems
- Knowledge of software languages C and FORTRAN, with ability to write code
- Good knowledge of local and International Regulations (EASA) pertaining to Flight Simulation Training Devices
- Diagnose and correct problems on flight simulator and associated systems
