Key responsibilities include vendor management, data harmonization and integration, governance and compliance, performance reporting and analytics, development/implementation of the reporting strategy, collaboration with the Knowledge Centre lead, capability building and training, and stakeholder collaboration. The director must address complex data challenges and provide insights for business decisions and growth opportunities.

About The Role - Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

The Global Reporting and Data Management Director is a senior CBIA leadership position responsible for ensuring the organization is equipped with accurate and harmonized market data to drive next-generation performance reporting, analytics, and strategic market intelligence. This role oversees global vendor relationships, data harmonization initiatives, and the development of innovative reporting capabilities, providing continuous and deep insights that guide business decisions and identify growth opportunities at all levels of the organization. This role works cross-functionally with markets, business units, and enterprise-functions to support and influence key strategic decision.

This role requires addressing complex data challenges, including integrating disparate data sources from multiple vendors (+20), ensuring data accuracy, and developing innovative reporting solutions, in particular into providing innovative solution in the fast evolving nature of data & analytics, including AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management and Data Procurement: Act as the global point of contact for market data vendors, managing relationships with providers such as NiQ, Circana, IQVIA, and Europanel. Oversee data purchasing, including RFPs, contracting, and renewals, ensuring alignment on data purchasing requirements and global reporting standards.

  • Data Harmonization and Integration: Lead the ideation, development, and management of a harmonized data lake, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to operationalize and scale data integration platforms.

  • Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce data management policies and procedures across the organization, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with legal and company standards. Partner with business/commercial stakeholders to ensure consistency of reporting & analyses across the business and ‘one version of the truth’ is applied to deliver consistent and accurate messages and recommendations to Senior Stakeholders.

  • Performance Reporting and Analytics: Oversee the creation and maintenance of global performance reports, including monthly deliverables and ad-hoc analyse and aggregated performance reviews to C level and Senior Stakeholders. Operate at global, category and regional level and consult on the data narrative, opportunities and risks.

  • Development/Implementation of the reporting strategy: development of new reporting solutions to ensure dissemination of insights across the business and at all levels, including new sources of data to improve diagnostic and analysis, advanced data management and visualisation capabilities and team resources and processes optimisation, closely collaborating with Data Tech teams to leverage and build optimal capabilities at enterprise level.

  • Collaborate with the Knowledge Centre lead to ensure optimal management of the off-shore team based in India ensuring right scope of work, prioritisation and quality of deliverables.

  • Capability Building and Training: Develop and implement training programs to enhance competencies in market data management and analysis across the organization.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary contact for data-related inquiries and analyses, supporting stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Significant experience in market data management, business intelligence, or market data analysis within a global organization, ideally in the FMCG or Healthcare sector.

  • Proven track record of driving transformation in Business Intelligence and delivering data integration and harmonization projects using tools such as PowerBI.

  • Deep understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and familiarity with modern data technologies & reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage global vendor relationships and lead complex global integration projects.

  • Proven experience in team management responsibilities.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and skilled in collaborating within fast-paced, matrixed organizations, building effective relationships and influencing decision-makers across diverse geographies and functions.

  • Ability to clearly present complex data insights, generate and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership, particularly around in-market performance and outcomes.

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, essential for navigating situations where plans may not go as expected and clarity is often lacking. The ability to adapt and find solutions in ambiguous scenarios is crucial.

  • Experience in communication and messaging tailored to a C-level audience, demonstrating the ability to convey clear story and influence.
