Job Description

The EHS Lead will lead, implement, and advise internally on EHS&S programs to prevent and control environmental and occupational risks, ensuring operational continuity and protecting the health and safety of employees. Key responsibilities include leading the EHS&S Department, ensuring compliance with corporate and local standards, coordinating the implementation and maintenance of EHS&S programs, project management involving safety standards, environmental and occupational safety evaluations, emergency preparedness, leading the EHS&S Committee, designing and executing EHS training, and ensuring compliance with quality systems. The role also involves incident investigation, monitoring industrial hygiene, and promoting a culture of safety and sustainability. The candidate must have experience in industrial environments.
Must have:

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Evaluate and manage environmental and safety aspects of projects.
  • Design and implement EHS training programs.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses.
  • Manage and ensure CAPA (corrective and preventive actions).
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in leading EHS programs.
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene and safety systems.

RAZÓN DE SER DEL PUESTO / JOB PURPOSE

Liderar, implementar y asesorar internamente en los programas de EHS&S (Medio Ambiente, Salud, Seguridad y Sostenibilidad), con el objetivo de prevenir y controlar los riesgos ambientales y ocupacionales, garantizando la continuidad operativa y protegiendo la salud y seguridad de los colaboradores. Todo esto en cumplimiento con la normativa local y los estándares corporativos de Haleon.

FUNCIONES Y RESPONSABILIDADES PRINCIPALES / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsabilidad general:

- Lidera el Departamento de EHS&S, reportando directamente a la Dirección de Planta.

- Asegura el cumplimiento de las políticas, estándares y procedimientos corporativos y locales en materia de medio ambiente, salud y seguridad.

- Coordina la implementación, mantenimiento y mejora continua de los programas y estándares EHS&S aplicables a la planta.

1. Gestión de Proyectos

- Revisión de diseños y planos de proyectos de construcción y adquisición de equipos para asegurar el cumplimiento de estándares de seguridad.

- Participación activa en evaluaciones de seguridad de proyectos.

- Validación del uso de materiales conforme a las especificaciones de seguridad.

- Coordinación de interrupciones planificadas y soporte en situaciones operativas especiales.

2. Medio Ambiente, Salud y Seguridad Ocupacional

- Evaluación de aspectos ambientales y de seguridad en nuevos proyectos.

- Aseguramiento de programas de preparación ante emergencias laborales.

- Liderazgo del Comité de EHS&S y coordinación de inspecciones en planta.

- Diseño y ejecución de programas de capacitación EHS para todo el personal.

- Supervisión de transporte seguro de materiales y gestión del impacto ambiental.

- Evaluación de riesgos asociados a condiciones de trabajo y diseño ergonómico.

- Investigación de incidentes y near misses, y seguimiento a acciones correctivas.

- Coordinación con el médico de planta en temas relacionados a salud ocupacional.

- Monitoreo continuo de higiene industrial.

- Cumplimiento de programas clave como: Living Safety, LOTO & ZA, Respirator Free, BCP, Pandemic Response, Risk Assessment, auditorías internas y externas.

- Desarrollo de procedimientos e instructivos para resguardar la integridad del personal, instalaciones y medio ambiente.

- Gestión del sistema CAPA (acciones correctivas y preventivas).

3. Calidad

- Cumplimiento de sistemas de calidad relacionados (CAPAs, cambios controlados, entrenamientos, desviaciones).

- Participación activa en evaluaciones de cambios asegurando su implementación segura.

- Promoción de una cultura de responsabilidad individual y colectiva en seguridad y sostenibilidad.

REQUISITOS DEL PUESTO

Educación:

- Título universitario (BSc) en Ingeniería Mecánica, Industrial, Ambiental o carreras afines.

Especialización:

- Medio Ambiente, Salud y Seguridad.

- Bilingüe: Español e Inglés.

Experiencia:

- 2 a 5 años en posiciones similares, liderando equipos y gestionando programas EHS&S en ambientes industriales.

Competencias técnicas y clave:

- Liderazgo de equipos multidisciplinarios

- Gestión de presupuesto y costos

- Profundo conocimiento en sistemas de higiene y seguridad industrial

- Capacidad analítica para evaluación de riesgos

- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y capacitación

- Enfoque en mejora continua y cumplimiento normativo
