Job Description

We are looking for an intern who will be partnering the Operations team to track performance, identify areas of opportunities and drive continuous improvement opportunities in operations. The intern will be collaborating with the Value Stream Business Unit Leads and First line leaders for the above deliverables. You will obtain significant understanding and exposure to process operations, performance management, and participate in driving a continuous improvement project.
Must have:
  • Track and report daily OEE and operations performance, analyze and prepare performance summary.
  • Coordinate, perform observation activities and report observations for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a ‘live’ OEE and Continuous Improvement wall in operations.
  • Support Quarterly Operations Reward & Recognition Programme by maintaining operator performance tracker.
  • Revise GxP documentation in operations (standard operating procedure, work instruction, one point lesson, On Job Training forms).
  • Present continuous improvement project progress, key learnings, and opportunities to the operations team.

Job Details

JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking for an intern who will be partnering the Operations team to track performance, identify areas of opportunities and drive continuous improvement opportunities in operations. The intern will be collaborating with the Value Stream Business Unit Leads and First line leaders for the above deliverables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be required to:

  • Track and report daily OEE and operations performance in various workstations, analyze performance and prepare a daily, weekly and monthly performance summary highlighting area of opportunities and strategizing the improvement steps.
  • Coordinate, perform observation activities and report observations as part of the Continuous improvement framework and work with operations team for next steps.
  • Maintain a ‘live’ OEE and Continuous Improvement wall in operations which reflects current performance, next target condition and tactical improvement plans.
  • Support Quarterly Operations Reward & Recognition Programme by maintaining operator performance tracker.
  • Revise GxP documentation in operations (standard operating procedure, work instruction, one point lesson, On Job Training forms).
  • At the end of the internship programme, present to the operations team on continuous improvement project progress undertaken, key learnings and areas of opportunities.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

You will be able to:

  • Obtain significant understanding and exposure to process operations. Have an understanding of critical process parameters in line operations, safety and quality control measures both in manufacturing and packing operations.
  • Have a high-level understanding of consumer health business operations, exposure to performance management in operations, concept of tiered accountability and escalation process.
  • Have an opportunity to participate or be exposed to deviation management, root cause analysis, investigation and corrective and prevention action (CAPA) process.
  • Participate and drive a continuous improvement project in operations.

  • Educational background –Science / Engineering related degree (undergraduates with one year remaining to graduation when starting role).
  • Proficient in use of basic Microsoft programs.
