Job Description

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for developing client relationships, maximizing sales of Haleon’s brands, and achieving market share growth in Kazakhstan. This role involves building annual customer plans, participating in negotiation strategies, monitoring G2N and NRM targets, and executing activation plans. Responsibilities also include negotiating product positioning, identifying opportunities, collaborating on joint business plans, monitoring competition, and ensuring regular reporting and forecasting. The role requires analyzing sales and purchases, preparing key account reviews, and achieving set KPIs.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of Key Account Manager experience.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of key clients in West Kazakhstan.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity and find solutions.
  • Results-driven and analytical for commercial tasks.
Good to have:
  • Kazakh and Russian language proficiency.

About the role:


Developing clients in the assigned territory through maximizing sales of the Haleon’s brands, market-shares and all instore fundamentals including assortment/distribution/visibility, developing partnerships/engagement with these clients in the short/long term, and constantly searching for new opportunities for further growth.

Your Day to Day:

  • Develop credible relationships that lead to beneficial agreements, ensuring Haleon’s strategy is implemented.
  • Build annual customer plans and ensure regular monitoring of its execution.
  • Participate in the preparation of the negotiation strategy and executes.
  • Monitor G2N and ensure that the NRM targets are achieved.
  • Gain agreement on annual activation plan and execute it brilliantly. Negotiate robust listing for our NPDs. Monitor and amend KPIs that relate to execution (e.g., SOS, SOA, 2ndary placements).
  • Responsible for negotiating product positioning and POSM settings and implementation in stores of key clients in the area for which responsible.
  • Identify opportunities based on customer insights and work cross-functionally towards translating them to actionable category proposals.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams for the development of Joint Business Plans.
  • Monitor competition and create mitigation plans for foreseen risks and business cases to grab opportunities.
  • Ensure regular reporting.
  • Responsible for the forecasting cycle.
  • Analysis of sales and purchases of key customers. Monitoring product stocks and ensuring optimal stock levels with customers.
  • Preparation of regular Key Account Reviews.
  • Achieving set KPIs (personal, team, contracted and company).
  • Working in accordance with the guidelines of business and ethical behavior set by the principal and defined by company policies.
     

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • University Degree.
  • Language proficiency in Kazakh and Russian (knowledge of English will be an additional advantage).
  •   3+ years’ successful confirmed experience in Key Account Manager role.
  •   Strategic thinking, ability to independently solve problems and make decisions.
  •   Developed competence in setting priorities in work within given time frames.
  •   Excellent knowledge of the key clients of the West KZ region (Anvar, Dina, Yarmarka etc).
  •   Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  •   Proven skills to manage a high degree of complexity.
  •   Ability to find solutions and move things forward.
  •   Results driven, resilient, problem solving and decision making.
  •   Analytical and competent for performing commercial tasks in KA.
  •   Ability to build excellent partnership relationships with clients.
  •   Role modelling our values.
