About the role:
The Head of Content & Communications will lead storytelling, messaging, and brand voice across all Lighthouse channels and initiatives. This role is a hybrid of strategist, creative producer, and marketer—building and scaling our content engine, amplifying the voices and work of our Creator community, and positioning Lighthouse as a leading platform in the Creator Economy. From social to podcasting, campaigns to newsletters, you’ll shape how the world sees, hears, and connects with the Lighthouse.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Define and evolve Lighthouse’s content strategy, editorial pillars, and brand voice across platforms.
- Build and manage an editorial calendar covering social, blog, email, podcast, and video content.
- Own the development and execution of content across owned, earned, and paid channels.
- Conduct audience research and content audits to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Lead and collaborate on content creation—from concepting and scripting to filming, editing, and publishing.
- Manage and brief creative freelancers, editors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality content.
- Produce and publish content from our in-house studios (e.g., “Live from the Lighthouse,” podcasts, test kitchens, and more).
- Develop messaging frameworks that align to user personas and support business objectives.
- Own content distribution strategy and performance optimization across platforms.
- Track and report on content KPIs, test content formats, and continuously improve outputs for engagement and growth.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 5–7 years in roles like Content Strategist, Content Marketing Manager, Growth Marketer, or Producer—ideally within startups, studios, agencies, or content-led brands.
- Proven writing and editorial experience with a portfolio of blog posts, social content, videos, or campaigns.
- Strategic thinker with a strong creative point of view and ability to execute hands-on.
- Comfortable with analytics and tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar.
- Experience managing content production end-to-end, from strategy through execution and distribution.
- Excellent communicator with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Demonstrated success developing and scaling content that drives engagement and measurable outcomes.
- Familiar with the Creator Economy and fluent in creator-first culture and platforms.
The salary range for this role is $125,000 – $150,000 and serves as a general guideline reflecting the potential compensation for the role. The final salary offer will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as the candidate's experience, expertise, alignment with the position's requirements, and, ultimately, budget approvals.
