Character.AI seeks a Head of Finance with 10+ years FP&A experience, 5+ years managing teams, ideally in consumer software. Must have strong leadership and strategic thinking skills to build out the finance function, manage budgets, forecasting, and drive fundraising and compute strategy.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Head of Finance to build out the finance function for Character.AI. As our Head of Finance you’ll be responsible for our day to day financial planning, managing budgeting/spend, forecasting, reporting, etc. This person will also play a critical role in driving Character.AI’s fundraising and compute strategy.

What you’ll bring

10+ years of relevant FP&A experience, with at least 5 years directly managing people and teams, and ideally at a consumer software company
You are very adept at operating at all levels with the ability to be hands-on while also keeping an eye on the strategic big picture
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Business field; MBA a plus

This role is in-person at our office in Menlo Park
